The tarrifs will continue until morale improves.

SOMEBODY SAY THANK YOU!
So much winning!

Can you not. This threads been going for 12 years.
My apologies. I know better, and will do so.

Fealty and fear are our biggest enemies right now. No apologies.
While I agree 100%, the ability to speak freely has been cut short. The last thing I want to do is make this thread a casualty.

Well I understand why the AI space is collapsing.

Total: 100 Credits (30 + 28 + 26 + 24 + 24 + 22)

This team combines top sprinters with attack-minded classics riders, all capable of securing big points in different race scenarios. Would you like to make any changes or fine-tune this lineup?

Huh, since when? Total: 100 Credits (30 + 28 + 26 + 24 + 24 + 22)

ChatGPT said:

You're right! I made a mistake in calculating the total credits. Let's fix that:

Corrected Team:

  1. Wout Van Aert (30) – Team Jumbo-Visma
  2. Jasper Philipsen (28) – Alpecin-Deceuninck
  3. Mads Pedersen (26) – Lidl-Trek
  4. Biniam Girmay (24) – Intermarché-Wanty
  5. Tim Merlier (24) – Soudal Quick-Step
  6. Stefan Küng (22) – Groupama-FDJ
Total Credits = 30 + 28 + 26 + 24 + 24 + 22 = 154 Credits.

This exceeds the 100-credit limit, so we need to trim down the team.

Let me adjust the selections for you within the 100-credit budget. One moment!
Let's adjust the team to stay within the 100-credit budget. Here's a new lineup:

  1. Wout Van Aert (30)
  2. Jasper Philipsen (28)
  3. Mads Pedersen (26)
  4. Stefan Küng (22)
  5. Tim Merlier (24)
  6. Neilson Powless (22) – EF Education - EasyPost
Total Credits = 30 + 28 + 26 + 22 + 24 + 22 = 100 Credits

Buying ICLR, trading at multi-year lows.
Any particular reason why this will outperform Amazon, NVDA, MSFT?

I know very little about ICLR aside from the fact that my brother has been banging the drum on them since before Covid. By the time I had even looked at them (in 2021), I thought it was overpriced and just watched it. He's been buying dips since. Anyway, I had set a reminder to get into ICLR if it ever went back down to pre-Covid levels which is about $170 so a purchase was triggered today.

I'd love to hear from folks that know this company--I'm buying on the conviction of my brother who has done his own due diligence. I'm just tailing him finally.

NMAX in a trade halt @ $167.42

Now unhalted
people are dumb

NewsMax lost $72MM last year.

In/out for a couple hundred this am

Shoulda stayed in...

Up 185% today @ $237

Oy

I suspect I know what the Venn diagram of NMAX and GME would look like.

I was gonna say the Trump coin and Truth Social type investors. No politics here just an acknowledgment that like GME, these stocks are not tied to financial fundamentals but other drivers like meme’s, politics and other types of headlines. (Which is why I’d be very scared to short it.)

Yes it’s a “meme stock” now, which means someone gets stuck holding the bag.

Love, love, love MSFT, AMZN, META and GOOG at yesterday’s levels (which I think we’ll see again). Once in a several year chance to buy best in breed at reasonable levels. I know it’s not some grand revelation to buy big cap mag 7 tech but it screams cheap to me compared to the rest of the market. There’s a level of safety there, particularly with their cap ex spending. Earnings are being temporarily muted and they still look cheap.

Tesla deliveries way down for first quarter. 336k vs a 360-370k estimate and 377k last year for the same time. It baffles me this thing still trades at a 100 PE.

Personal account.

We trimmed some NVDA last year at 142

Just bought that back today.

Also picked up more VRT and a new position again in BX which we made a bundle on.

Valuations on

AMZN
META
GOOGL
NVDA
MSFT

Look too attractive to pass up at these levels for the long term.

VRT is going to be a huge benefactor of the data center build out.

I am also researching an Israeli based E Commerce company and will reveal that soon.

You remember Checkpoint? I think they were an Israeli computer security company way back when. Wonder whatever happened to them....

Just looked - CHKP. Yeah, they're doing well. $229/Share and this is one my old boss used to love to short. :lmao:

Ok, so my kid has some new money going into his Roth. This is going to sit and grow for 35-40 years. 1/2 IVV, 1/2 QQQ? That's kind of what I'm thinking but wanted to bounce that off the esteemed investors in here.

He's already got a bunch of single stocks in there, including AMZN, META, and MSFT. Maybe 1/3 NVDA isn't a bad idea, though.

$NMAX halted down 62% today. Nature is healing.

Stick with single stocks. More fun and your kid will get plenty of index exposure down the road unless self employed

That’s how I learned how to invest starting in 1987. Single stocks. And yes it’s a lot more fun and you can learn about how to analyze a companies fundamentals etc.

Speaking of 1987, I have paper shares of Emerson from that time period. How do I sell these.

Do I let my kid pick his own stocks even if I disagree? It's only $20 of chore money he wants to put in Tesla. He doesn't have any yet. So far he's only in a S&P index fund, AMZN and NVDA.
