started a small position in #BROS at 59 in July, would like to DCA here under 57. Those of you who follow it, smarter to perhaps wait for the earnings next week? not a big enough position to care if bounces and i miss the buy, the broader market sentiment me more than whatever the business itself is doing. 8/7 looks to be the next tariff recovery day, which is a day after #BROS earnings.

If anyone's interested it parking some safe money, GBIL is currently at 99.85. It's pretty rare for it to be this far under navigation.

Yeah, not a bad price here to DCA in. I'm probably going to add just a bit along with a smidge of AMZN.

Buys today

AMZN - Blow out quarter, this is a gift. Own to much but if you're selling Fillet Mignon at $10 a pound I'm buying.
LULU - I'm not into this one for much but history says it will bounce later in the year.
MXL - DCA down
KOPN - DCA down
VLN - DCA down
ADBE - Continue to add a share on the slow drop down.
META - Working on replacing the shares sold at $774 and $754. Kinda of stupid that I'm chasing 2-3% here
SOFI - replace my shares sold at $24+ in the low $21 and upper $20 range.

Attempting to buy OPFI and PXLW but the have move up well off the limits I set.

I have a hunch earnings are going to be very good. I don't know if the stock market will be any good when they release, but if history is any guide this thing tends to pop on positive earnings. We'll see.....every time I walk past the one near my office it is brisk business.

Any concern that the bar this quarter is set at 18 cents? That seems like the Street is expecting big numbers already.

Sure, I have concerns but if I'm going to champion one growth stock, this is one is it. I don't know what some of the names in my portfolio actually do (VRT, TTD) but I know what this one does and every single day I walk past it, I think to myself "more. Buy more." I've never seen one empty. No matter the time of day or night.

Not a huge position for me, but First Solar is paying off.

First Solar, Inc. (FSLR) reported second-quarter 2025 earnings of $3.18 per share, which were down 2.2% from the prior-year quarter’s figure of $3.25. The bottom line, however, surpassed the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.68 per share by 18.7%.

The year-over-year decline in the bottom line can be attributed to higher operating expenses incurred in the second quarter of 2025 compared with the prior-year quarter.

FSLR’s Sales Update

First Solar’s second-quarter net sales were $1.10 billion, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.03 billion by 6.6%. The top line also improved 8.6% from the year-ago quarter’s $1.01 billion, driven by an increase in the volume of modules sold to third parties.

Operational Highlights of FSLR

In the second quarter, the company’s gross profit was $499.9 million, which rose 0.2% from $498.9 million in the year-ago quarter.

Total operating expenses rose 9.4% year over year to $138.2 million.

FSLR reported an operating income of $361.6 million compared with $372.5 million in the year-ago quarter.

Financial Performance of First Solar

First Solar had $1.12 billion in cash and cash equivalents as of June 30, 2025, down from $1.62 billion as of Dec. 31, 2024.

The long-term debt totaled $328 million as of the same date compared with $373.4 million as of Dec. 31, 2024.

The net cash used in operating activities amounted to $458.4 million during the first six months of 2025 against cash generated from operating activities of $460.7 million during the first six months of 2024.

First Solar’s 2025 Guidance

First Solar has updated its 2025 guidance. FSLR now expects to generate earnings in the range of $13.50-$16.50 per share, narrower than the earlier guided range of $12.50-$17.50. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings is pegged at $14.81 per share, which lies below the mid-point of the company’s newly guided range.

FSLR now expects to record sales in the range of $4.90-$5.70 billion, higher than its earlier guided range of $4.50-$5.50 billion. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for sales is pegged at $4.98 billion, which lies below the midpoint of the company’s updated guidance.

First Solar now expects gross profit to be in the band of $2.05-$2.35 billion, narrower than the previous guided range of $1.96-$2.47 billion. Its operating income is now anticipated to be in the $1.53-$1.87 billion range compared with the earlier guidance of $1.45-$2.00 billion.

The company currently expects module shipments to be in the band of 16.7-19.3 gigawatts (GW) compared with the prior guidance of 15.5-19.3

I used this strategy during the pandemic when you couldn't find a spot in a Lowe's parking lot. Seems like it shouldn't be as easy as opening your eyes and noticing what's going on around you...but often it is.

Yup. Used the same method to buy ISRG way back. Docs are fighting over time to use it we keep buying more.

Beating a dead horse, but everyone should be adding at least one share of Amazon here....

Same theory from April holds true here even if it is a lesser extent...

When NVDA is $160 at the end of the year are you won't remember if you bought it at $105, $100, $90, or even $80, but you will remember that you screwed up by not buying it.

Peter Lynch for the win.

The lady just fired was actually helping the narrative to lower interest rates.

UWMC up almost 4% on this craziness.

Could you be more specific?

I she was faking bad job numbers you would think the Fed would lower rates to keep employment up. I'll laugh really hard if the replacement fudges the numbers showing Huge employment growth and the Fed says the economy is over heated.

Seems like one of the reasons Amazon was down was the poor AWS growth rates. Amazon stating they were capacity constrained and their backlog grew 25%.

Sounds like they need more Blackwell chips and VRT cooling systems.

VRTX getting pounded after hours as they announced an end to their non-opioid trials after results were lackluster. They beat earnings and revenue for the year will be stellar but this is a setback for them. They also announced a larger focus on T1D, which would be a monumental breakthrough for them and the world as insulin dependency for diabetics has been the only treatment with little progress over decades (other than insulin distribution and management).

In short, I'll be up before the bell with a "buy ticket" in hand. The last time VRTX pulled back this much in a day was before Xmas and if one bought the dip, the reward was quite nice. Well, until tomorrow. :bag:.

Just had to take a little more PLTR off the table. Just crazy now.
Got in at $16.09 in Jan '24 (10-bagger!), thought I was smart to sell 2/3 when it hit $60. Then it quickly shot up to $125. Bought another chunk in March pull-back at $81 which has doubled quickly but man do I rue the day I gave up those cheap shares. Holding what I have for the long haul.
The day will come where this stock drops and then stagnates for for 4-5 years. You want to be out of it when that happens.
