Meh. This isn't enough in the story to break off support from Evangelicals who supported him. Women who support him aren't going to be offended by this....they're probably harder on Daniels. Blue Collar/Middle America men....banging a porn star is a wish fulfillment of theirs. That's with all of those demographic BELIEVING her....which I'm sure a good portion of all three don't.
The spanking wasn't a "gotcha" moment.....nor was the perching.

That, and the legal aspects of paying her off are probably the two biggest things from the interview......but even then, the interview didn't do anything to make me believe that Daniels is telling the truth about most/if not all of her relationship.
Will have to watch this later tonight, but this is Donald Trump we're talking about. I think most people would be surprised if he wasn't involved in something dirty and sleazy. That's not too make it right (it isn't), but he does get a free pass of sorts in this area compared to a regular politician.
This very thing destroyed John Edwards' political career. Only effect this has on Trump fans is they brag that he's scoring Playboy bunnies and pornstars.
Different times. Different person.
Trump has figuratively removed the bar from play. People like him because he acts like the playground bully. They expect this kind of behavior. They want this kind of behavior.

FTR....I believe they had the relationship. I'm coming into the story not really caring that they did it. To that, the story didn't make him look worse....it didn't make him look compromised.....nor did it in anyway look like it will harm him politically.
As someone who doesn't care for Trump.....yet didn't really follow the nuts and bolts of this story.....it came across as really "Meh".

This doesn’t match with his actions though. A man unafraid of the consequences does not shell out 130K, or threaten people, or file lawsuits to silence people.

The only way this was news is if he knocked her up and pressured her to get an abortion, and that's just to further paint the hypocritical conservative evangelists in their morals corner. Even then, I don't personally care, but I would have been happy to see some evangelists' heads explode seeing them explain how Trump is still their guy. Some people say "whats going to be the distraction from this story?" No, this is the distraction.

he - or cohen - doesn't want to risk the election when they feel they're *this* close to pulling out the election. so they pay her off to keep her silence. but in their haste they don't do it right. Trump doesn't sign. Cohen's not sure who will get the money to him. whatever. but they messed up with the FEC.

It kind of is. Man who is powerful in the entertainment industry dangles out offer of spot on top tv show in exchange for sex. Later he seeks to silence her. Not sure what’s missing here except a base who constantly rails against Hollywood elected one of its elite and don’t even seem to throw up in their mouths a little bit.

Other takeaway from this is that we now have 2 women who just disregarded their supposed confidentiality obligations. That is a problem for somebody like Trump who probably has a few more of these stories floating out there.

This is true in a legal sense.
In an ethical and moral sense Trump is the absolute worst in 50 years bar-none. Supporting him and you are tainted the same, cant escape it.
