Mr. Robot is coming to Netflix on Thursday. I'm down for a re-watch.
Said the same to my wife, good timingMr. Robot is coming to Netflix on Thursday. I'm down for a re-watch.
Yeah we watched 4 last nightE4 of S4 of the Bear has four people in it, three of whom are not regulars. Guess this is how they afforded all of those music rights.
The entire episode was built around one speech.
So yes, this is not a plot-driven series, it's a character-driven series.
Last 20 minutes were hilarious... I didn't remember anyone.Squid game season 3- liked the first 3 episodes, wasn’t a fan of the last 3. Felt ridiculous, even for Squid Game standards
Started Yellowjackets season 1, super good so far
Agree on the thoughts of the Bear above…liked the first two seasons but season 3 was pretty widely panned so I skipped it. Maybe I’ll watch a season 3 summary somewhere then dive into S4…..
Boy, I really hope they can find some sunlight. The sequel we've been waiting for! Troll 2 to be released on netflix December 1 and I am here for it!
I'm about halfway through season 2, this show has been really funny.S2 is quite a bit better also, fyi. HilariousBuddy of mine says this show is great. Gonna download a couple episodes for a short plane ride to Phoenix tomorrow.Tires season 2 is out, I’m a Gillis fan and I’m digging this season just as much as season 1
Finished up Season 4 of The Bear. Dragged a bit in the middle, but the rest was great. Way better than S3. Does not reach the heights of S1 or S2 but worth a watch to see the character development. The whole season has a different vibe, more positive and even cathartic at times and I really enjoyed watching the characters grow instead of just the same old same old. Just renewed for S5.Haven't started The Bear S4 but the mixed reviews here have me tempering my expectations.
Oh…that Troll 2The sequel we've been waiting for! Troll 2 to be released on netflix December 1 and I am here for it!
Me and a couple of my best college buddies are watching this "together" (one's in Minnesota, the other in Denver)... it's perfect for us as we tend to jab at each other in similar ways that they do in this show. Freakin' hilarious.Tires season two is pretty awesome.
College buddies and I watched Letterkenny this way and it fits the mold as well. I'm trying to get them to watch Tires now.Me and a couple of my best college buddies are watching this "together" (one's in Minnesota, the other in Denver)... it's perfect for us as we tend to jab at each other in similar ways that they do in this show. agree. it was very cliched, but it worked.Department Q (Netflix) - 8.5/10
I almost turned this show off after the first episode. It has all the standard cop drama tropes such as the gritty and jaded (due to a prior trauma) lead detective who has a penchant for brutality (and who would be fired IRL for numerous things), the enigmatic but brilliant and resourceful foreign side kick who should be running the department but for being foreign with different colored skin, the quirky, shy young female detective who seems like she cannot tie her shoes but will inevitably make some important discovery, and a seemingly inexplicable mystery that doesn't seem to tie into anything yet will, by show's end, tie into everything. That said, the writing and acting engage in said tropes rather well and the pacing is good. I was definitely very interested as the show progressed. If you like police procedurals and mysteries, it's definitely worth the watched.
My primary gripe keeping this from a 9 or better is:
It took her four years to guess the villains after the significant trauma she experienced involving them in her late teens when she was literally kidnapped on the same boat from Mohr where the brother died? I get that the plot device of making her a prosecutor widened the proverbial net, but c'mon...
I'm sure there are some really good Frasier episodes you can re-watch. Sounds more your speed.Tires - half an episode and turned it off. Way too juvenile.
ETA: There is a bikini car wash espisode!?!?!?!?!
Sorry bud, every show isn't for everyone. Couldn't get past the guy pretending to blow the other guy why he was on the phone. I'm sure some people liked it.I'm sure there are some really good Frasier episodes you can re-watch. Sounds more your speed.Tires - half an episode and turned it off. Way too juvenile.

To me it just kinda gets old. It's juvenile for sure but that can be good. This just seems like a one trick pony.Tires - half an episode and turned it off. Way too juvenile.

Willing to revist the bikini car was episode tho, not sure it would be any funnier, but I'd watch that.
Yeah, that was kind of the point, I think - they got some local waitresses that were a mixed bag.To me it just kinda gets old. It's juvenile for sure but that can be good. This just seems like a one trick pony.Tires - half an episode and turned it off. Way too juvenile.

Oh, and the bikini episode isn't the greatest of bikini car washes (if you catch my drift).
That was a good show. Nothing unexpected happened, but what was done was done well.Department Q (Netflix) - 8.5/10

"Bears" (S4 E7) is essentially a mini-movie like "Fishes" from S2. It starts off as chaotic as that episode but turns into something quite different, which neatly shows how the characters have grown since the time of "Fishes". This will be the one they submit to the Emmys.Finished up Season 4 of The Bear. Dragged a bit in the middle, but the rest was great. Way better than S3. The movie, the show, the character or the US Player?Freeman is awful
For people who like this kind of show this season is as good as tv gets. I can’t wait for the next, what should be final, season."Bears" (S4 E7) is essentially a mini-movie like "Fishes" from S2. 100%. Just a solid watch. Graham nailed it. People looking for something outside the normal, done before stuff, this is it. Solid.I really liked Adolescence. I've been a big fan of Stephen Graham since This is England and he really shines here, especially in the final episode. And the kid is a really impressive actor too. An all around original piece of filmmaking.
Yea I don't feel like she's aged well for that roleOld Guard 2 was terrible. The first was solid fun with a nice premise. Then they did this, butchered the lore they created with a stupid prophecy and figured, hey people liked Uma Thurman with a sword 20 years ago so let's give her one and then....profit.
Incredible camerawork. Stephen Graham was great but I thought the kid and the shrink stole the show. Super disturbing glimpse into the life of a teenage boy.I really liked Adolescence. His son plays for the USMNT- made his debut recently. he's been discussed lately... but in the soccer threads, so figured this was an oops posting.Packers WR from back in the day?Former Bucs' QB?The movie, the show, the character or the US Player?Freeman is awful
I actually just qued that up for a rewatch. Can't remember much of it but I remember really enjoying it. Anything set in that era I'm in on.Started Halt and Catch Fire. I'm in.
Good era and concept and I like the characters so far.
