Thanks spread out to those that sacrificed their time to warn the rest of us not to watch season 3 of The Fall.

I will avoid. Neither of us really cared to watch it but just figured we'd finish it out.

The last two episodes are intense and a good watch. They make the season worth watching but don't make up for the crappy first few episodes. Overall, nowhere near the level of the first two seasons but not the worst thing I've seen.

The Dana Carvey special - is really lame.   Just a lot of old bad impressions.  Turned it off after not breaking a smile 30 minutes in.

If someone watches the entire thing and recommends it, I could be convinced to check out the rest, on a slow, "nothing to do night" in the dead of winter.
Watched the full thing and it didn't get any better.

Sing Street

Currently streaming.  I saw this in the theater earlier in the year and was instantly one of my favorites.

Now deep into the year, it's easily one of my two favorite films of the year.   It has a great little tribute to the prom night dance scene in Back to the Future.  Great sound track of Late 80's - Early 90's music.  Really good story.  Sometimes painfully awkward to watch.

I highly recommend this movie.
Definitely in the annual top 10 for me.

Incredibly lax security for someone who's been accused of killing tons of women.  Oh wait, he says he can't remember any of it so I guess he's not bad anymore.

What was the deal with the note on the dollar?  And HTF can he just be allowed to chill out in an unlocked room in the mental institution?  Lots and lots of long, deep conversations that all seem to lead nowhere.

shhhhhh... I can't hear scully's whispers if you're talking SO loudly.

that note? something about love and death? bible stuff?

we didn't get to the last episode yet. I'm sure it will be scintillating.

Ok, decided to take one for the team and started to watch season 3 of the Fall.  So far it's hard to tell if it's a police thriller or medical drama.  And Scully still looks hawt.
Finished.  Boring, unrealistic, and just plain convoluted and stupid.  I feel wholly unsatisfied with the final season and recommend no one watch it.

You're all welcome I saved you roughly 5 hours of your life.

Kevin James movie was watchable, and I laughed a few times.  Just a side warning, there's a number of "mistaken for a spy" cliches it has to check off.  From the low bar movie critic, this was better than the Richard Greico "mistaken for a spy" movie.

Watched "Lost in America" last night. Albert Brooks is a very specific type of humor - neurotic, anxious, excitable - that I enjoy. I think I might identify with him a little too much. Julie Hagerty is great in this too.

Love that movie.

How much are you looking to make?

I don't know, like $80,000?

I have the same opinion. Also Gillian Anderson seems a lot less spectacular in season 3 - is she putting on weight?

aw yeah... I'm all over this.
I can't remember or read well enough to see if I mentioned that we finished it too. finsihed. done. my favorite part about ireland is that they only put serial killers in handcuffs when he's surrounded by giant, hulking, armed policemen. rest of the time, not so much.

This plus the disappearing, maybe in-love? nurse bugged me the most about the last season.

when it finished, the wife said something like- ok, they ended it. that's good. which seemed funnier to me in the moment than writing it out.

nurse better and the can't love, death awaits or whatever thing and no boobs. terrible.

and ####### scully whispering all the time.

Not to mention the psycho teenage chick who just kind of meandered in the background.

And no boobs, definitely turrible.

yeah... wtf even include her? other than to tease the audience that something might happen- like she might try her hand at serial killing, or boobs.

still watching "Penny Dreadful" and still enjoying the loopy fun of its storytelling. The plotting is all over the place but it's still enjoyable.
