The problem is if you have someone dubbing Michael Douglas' voice, you'd better get someone with the same acting chops as Michael Douglas or it will be terrible.

This is what you get with dubbing. Honestly cant believe people can sit through that instead of subtitles.
i mean come on the guy doing the chucky voice sounds like he is about to laugh take that to the bank bromigo

Even knowing some spanish, I love how it's completely garbled nonsense other than the "puta madre" sandwiched in the middle.

Watched the first episode of Silo. I am extremely in for this one. Think I'm going to go on an Apple TV Sci Fi run for a bit since I've heard good things.

Don't forget the *best show on TV, See.

I've heard mixed things about See, but reading about it, it seems like its in my wheelhouse.

Please note... Its silly bad. But it's also awesome- great world building. I think I even started a thread for it

Severance is also arguably sci-fi and arguably the best of all the listed shows.

Havoc on Netflix takes a while to get going, but in the third act there's plenty of punch punch pew pew. I give it a C, a bouncy C.

Also - Tom Hardy is giving it his all here. It's almost like he thinks he's in an actual movie, not some direct to Tubi cops and robbers show.
Thanks for the rec here; I watched it on my flight out to KC and enjoyed it. Definitely as bloody as the John Wick franchise. Not too much in the way of a storyline and what ended up happening could be seen from a mile away, but it was entertaining.

Bad Thoughts from Tom Segura is really bad. It’s a shame. His last few stand-up specials have been let downs as well (although the YMH podcast/youtube show is still decent). Has he lost his funny?

Pretty sure Tom started believing his own reviews and is just cashing out now. He's definitely turned as a comedian, right around the time he started losing weight seems like.

Most recent episode of Mobland was solid. Still think Miren and the grandson are over the top and I did not care for one scene in this episode.
Have a hard time believing it would have gone down like that in real life.

I'm in for the season but some of the premises are so over the top and inconceivable plus they have Harry time porting everywhere with the ability to fix any situation at any time because he has dirt on you from something you did in 2002. I'm really rooting on Ritchie. Downright loathe all things Harringon.
Agree. The show has done a great job of making you cheer for the "bad guy". I'll give it that.

And I could not agree more about Harry. He has so many connections and favors due to him.
He is cleaning up everything for everyone. Loved the most recent episode where he just walks right in with a gun and takes out a small army.

It's way over the top and not even in a normal Guy Ritchie way.

Rambo v. Harry would be an interesting match
I WILL EAT YOUR FACE!

Silo is fine but pretty bleak (which makes it a tough watch at times, IMO).

Love For All Mankind. It has its issues but I love the alternative history aspect of it.

FAM 1st season was fantastic, then each season got progressively less interesting to me.

I don't think Tom Segura is very funny at all, but I find Burt Kreischner even more unfunny.
You should probably stay far away from the Two Bears One Cave podcast.
Segura is ok, but Bert Kreischer is awful.
I've caught bits and pieces. I've seen some funny bits but Bert is mostly insufferable. Tom has funny moments but he often comes off as arrogant. Meh.

As a dad, Tom's standup bits about his kids are very funny to me. I also like some of his interactions with his wife (she's also a comedian).

I think, unfortunately, he just exploded and unlike Nate Borgatze he's been unable to continue with high quality material but he needs to keep churning out product to effectively ride his 15 minutes of fame or whatever.

Tom is good enough. Burt is Larry the Cable Guy level unfunny.

Cable Guy the movie is great.

Did you mean Larry the Cable Guy?

Yes of course. Good catch.

Been making it through “Paradise” on Hulu. Been decent to good. A bit low budgeted looking in parts and predictable but an easy watch.

This episode 7 tho that…..SPOILERS……

That is the event that leads to the whole thing is amazing. If you enjoy the build up to just before a world ending event (not sure what you call this but I always love this part of the story leading up to the fall of society) this was really well done. Very intense.

Race Across the World S5 is almost at the midpoint.
China, Nepal, and India for the 7 checkpoints.

As usual, they have the budget equal to an airplane ticket of the starting to ending cities. Not enough for transportation, accommodations, or food. Takes them about 50 days to journey somewhere between 10k-12k miles. Generally don't know the languages, money exchange rate, and customs. Have to work jobs along the way.
Do you go for speed or do you admire the journey?
Measly 20k pounds for the winning team.

I spent like an hour yesterday trying to add paramount +.
First I tried to sign back up through paramount and they had some sort of showtime deal too, so I was gonna do that but then I figured I’ll sign up through xfinity so it’s all on one bill and easier to cancel
For whatever reason the xfinity app is complete trash and just links you to the webpage and runs super slowly
Finally get signed up and can’t get signed in. Try to connect via cable provider, but Xfinity isn’t listed
After some googling I figure out it’s not compatible for some reason so then I go through all the steps again to cancel
Finally just signed up through paramount (which I think was trough iTunes or whatever)
God I hate streaming

And from what I hear (I don’t have it), Paramount Plus has the most glitches and worst interface of the major streaming platforms. So your adventure is just beginning.

It’s easily the worst app.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem with it

Probably get rid of it after we finish 1923. Alexandra Dutton might be my most hated tv character ever

Trying to get my father in law signed up for streaming Tigers games last year during the playoffs was a nightmare. Throw in a guy with a notepad of passwords, 25% of which are correct, plus that generation's typing miscues... just a disaster.

I got him signed up for the rest of the regular season over this past weekend and it went a lot better - I was happy he agreed to sign up through Amazon for convenience even though it was more expensive than the same thing through Fubo.

This is true.

I've been trying to watch the last two episodes of Mobland for 2 weeks. Nope. Live soccer works kinda sorta, but with anticipation of glitches and needing to restart the app. It works worse on our smart TV than I does on my phone.

Yes, interface is total garbage. Example: for one of the shows I was streaming (Landman I think), Paramount would always default me to S1 Ep8 no matter where I actually was in the series.

Paramount has by far been my worst streaming interface. I've had it for 2 years or so. Its the only one that gives me issues. There was a two week stretch where it would freeze at the start of every commerical. I would then watch the commercials ony phone, then back to the TV to watch. Smh
