I really liked Pee Wee as Himself although it was much sadder than expected. I remember watching him on Letterman before his first movie came out. Saw Big Adventure in the theater and Pee Wee's Playhouse was must see Saturday mornings, and I was in my early 20s at the time. lol That, combined with Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse made for perfect wake-n-bake Saturday morning entertainment.
I had no idea about his life before Pee Wee and found his early years really interesting. The very end was really sad and it sucks that he appears to have been a victim of some political grandstanding and a witchhunt later in life.
His interviews were great and showed a really wry sense of humor, but a troubled life underneath. I'm glad the documentary was made and he was able to set some things straight. RIP Paul Reubens

Really enjoyed the first season of the spy thriller Condor. Think Jack Ryan meets Night Agent. Maybe not exactly, but those two shows both came to mind as having some similarities. CIA analyst gets in over his head in terms of his involvement with a global conspiracy of sorts. Pretty good cast with some old names like William Hurt, Mira Sorvino, and Brendan Frasier and a bunch of other "oh that guy" characters. One of those shows where almost nobody is safe from extinction. it's also a modern-day adaptation of the 1975 Robert Redford flick Three Days of the Condor, which is a great movie as well. Catch the first two seasons on Prime.

The Mortician on Max is a decent watch. Three episode documentary about a really messed up funeral home in LA. It's one of those where you think you've figured out what's going on, but it just keeps getting worse and worse.

Gone Girls - The Long Island Serial Killer

Incredibly tragic story about the victims of Rex Heuermann, though the real tragedy was the inept and corrupt police force and DA office that dragged their feet because these victims were sex workers. The families had to suffer the loss of loved ones and then watch Chief Wiggums not just botch the investigation but show a level of indifference that is maddening. He and DA should be shot into the Long Island waters in January. F those guys.

Solid 3-part series if you're into True Crime. It's crazy how long this giant ogre of a man lived his life right out in the open as he killed and killed and killed again and again. May his days in prison be long, tortuous and full of pain.

Good catch. I actually just realized that Season 2 is not included with the basic Prime subscription, so I had to sign up for the 7-day free trial of MGM+ (now I just need to remember to cancel).

I watched Better Call Saul when it came out. Only watched it once. I really enjoyed it. It's a slow grind but well written. I just jammed through season 1 this last week. I felt like it was better this time around. Just love the vibe.
