2. The part where I claim that instead of the classics we get the post modernists?1. Begging the question fallacy big time. Teaching history openly and honestly (pointing out the mistakes and flaws the US has made) = unpatriotic?
2. Not even really sure what this has to do with the original post.
1. I think most people would argue that educating people about a country's virtues rather than its mistakes is more patriotic than not. I never called our current educational system "unpatriotic," rather that there was a cosmopolitanism inherent now in our high school curriculum.
