Stupid Observations of your fantasy team (1 Viewer)

Yea this is not a very helpful post but its a place to put dumb things you noticed about your team. Not going to be very serious in here.

So for me, I randomly selected 6 guys that start with De.

Demaryius

Demarco

DeAndre

Desean

DeVante

Dexter

Not sure how much I had to drink during the draft.

Every RB on my team is from the SEC.

Gurley, Todd STL RB

Hill, Jeremy CIN RB

Ingram, Mark NOS RB

Mason, Tre STL RB

Yeldon, T.J. JAC RB

We use a sticker draft board in my league and if you peel it, you pick it. I made the brilliant move of peeling me some J Brown only to see, to my horror that I had picked mother####ing Jaron Brown... had to pick him and grab John Brown next round. Not drunk, just stupid. Will the real John Brown please stand up.

The combined age of my top 4 RBs (AP, Ingram, J-Stew, Bush) is greater than the combined age of my 5 WRs (Evans, Hopkins, K. Allen, Cooper, M. Bryant).

If only it were a PPR dynasty league instead of a non-PPR redraft.

Both of the kickers I drafted are white dudes.

I swear I'm not racist, that's just how the draft fell to me.

A guy in my friend's draft took Felix Jones in the first round; thought the sticker said Julio. Nobody said anything until it was too late to fix.

People seriously walk up to a board, peel off a sticker, and place it on a different board for every pick? Why??

Odd names all around on my team.

Jamaal, Dez, Alshon, Arian, Martavis....even goofy enough with my kickers Cody and Caleb...Eli as well.

Sam Bradford has the most normal name on my team.

Last year in my dynasty startup draft I took Demarco Murray as my RB2 and Ryan Mathews as an RB3/flex. Now it's a handcuff.

Its easy...puts it up on a board for all to see easily.

Also cuts down on the idiots that some leagues have where they try drafting someone that is already gone.

IF the sticker isn't there...guy is typically already drafted (not as easy in baseball where there are some guys that are not on the sticker boards when they are made because it was not for sur eif they would be called up or not).

As opposed to what?
Announcing to the room who you are going to pick then crossing that name off the list. I'm not criticizing just curious...where does one get a sticker board with all the names? How much does it cost? I've been playing in leagues since 1989, so pre-internet, and have never done this.

We have a couple of guys in my main league who get drunk and always name someone who's been drafted already. I think I'd miss the fun of ridiculing them. If fact some of us place bets on which one is going to be first.

draftkit.com for $25 shipped. Totally worth it. Folks love the ritual of placing a sticker up there. Gives room for shtick like placing all cowboys stickers upside down (our league rule), and keeps a nice big visual record. It's so common that these boards/stickers are automatically included free as part of a draft kit from places like Hooters if you hold your draft there. CBS sports includes one with every league in case you hold an offline draft.

Hell I've been playing 10-15 years and have never been to a live draft that DIDN'T have one. :)

Some places charge.

We used to get the kits with our subscriptions on CBS for our baseball league.

Last few years we have done it at Buffalo Wild Wings and they provide the board and stickers...coupons for free food later and crap.

Doing ours there next week...then watching OSU/VTech after.

Yeah. When in a bar's party room, it gets pretty rowdy and loud. The board makes it easy to have fun and not worry about missing picks. You can always look at the board and catch up. Plus, as others have mentioned, there's some good schtick that can take place when people walk up to make their picks.

A guy in our local league actually picked all white receivers a month ago, he has a side bet with another owner that he can start only white receivers all year and still make the playoffs. His bet took a serious hit when Jordy went down.

Fandraft my friends. Virtual sticker board with intro music for your team and all your team logos and ugly actual photos to place up on he big screen. Plus when you're done it imports to MFL and other sites with no fuss. $30 the first year. $15 the second.

Seriously. Do It!

As Commish of my league for the last 20 years, there is no way I would let this happen. Same with drafting someone who got injured and is out for the season.

Requires giant TV or projection setup.

Any TV with a standard VGA and speaker input would suffice. Almost everyone has at least a 40" these days.

Agree... no better way to make the league a joke than to allow a guy to use his first round pick on Felix Jones by accident.

I have an offensive player named Brandon Marshall, Charles Johnson, and Dez Bryant.

I have a defensive player named Brandon Marshall, Charles Johnson, and Dez Bryant.

Other than that, my team is a sausage-fest (3 Johnsons and one Bush).
