1330 for me (weeks 2-10) but no reason to look backward now. It's all about week 11.

Personally, I think it is mostly luck, especially since we are all probably relatively knowledgable in fantasy football.
... except for the 20 or so people who posted in this thread, and the probably hundred of entries total, that didn't understand the rules, of course. Those that thought it was a redraft every week or they got to set starters, or didn't look at bye weeks (like the guy who's entry had something like 8 players on a week 3 bye... LT, LJ, Glenn, and some others)...Mostly luck once you've survived the bye weeks, I think. Getting through them took at least some skill.

I dont know where you guys are finding the overall rankings (I can only find the weekly.) Can anyone PLEASE tell me where my team ranks overall?

Looks like you're clocking it at #53 overall based on total points scored weeks 2-10. You can't find this data anywhere on the site, you need to construct it. There are a few glitches in my data (due to what I needed to do to make it work in the day I took to make it), but it's 99% accurate I'd say. Biggest problem comes from the fact that about 50 entries still remaining had a "duplicate name" as of week 2, either from just being a common name, or someone buying multiple subscriptions to get more entries. Never checked the rules to see if a single person is allowed multiple entries, but if you pay for it, I can't imagine it being a big deal. I'm working on fixing those glitches, but it's tedious work as I have to fix all 50 entries by hand...

Hi ctriopelle...my total being 1296, could I assume to be somewhere in the 550-650 range...thanks in advance.....by the way I was eliminated after week 9 in that '04 contest, so happily I'm already ahead of that pace...

:bag: I thought it was a weekly redraft line-up and I'm still in...with Shaun Alexander.

I put about 10 minutes into the line-up, thinking it was weekly.

just noticed I'm in the Bottom 30. :D

Thanks ctriopelle, I'm Perez, I might have been a couple decimal points off in my addition...my original intention was to have a strong triumvirate...It's been my hope from the start that Palmer, LT, Harrison, carry me to the final 500...we'll know soon enough.....

While I'm waiting to get the formatting help, I'll drop a few more tidbits. Using the remaining 1501 entries as the data pool, a grand total of THREE teams have been in the top 50% every week.Player Min %Jack Downing 63.8%todd anderson 63.0%Kimberly Regester 57.6%Min % is their lowest percentile ranking, meaning for example Downing has beaten at least 63.8% of all entries EVERY weekAll 3 of these teams look strong and are among the ones to beat from what I can tell.To give an idea how fast this drops off, my min% 57th overall at 30.8%. I'm also only in the top 750 for total points (I've never been above the top 74% either not looking good for the home team!). The teams I listed above also have been in the 92nd percentile and above as well so they can score big with their players. What REALLY scary is that Mr. Downing has a MEDIAN percentile of 94.6% so HALF the time he is in the top 5%! The only other player with this number above 90% is Mike Pontius (and since there's 2 Mike Pontius, they'll have to figure out which is which)...and there's only 36 teams above 80.Anyone else ready to crown Downing as king? As long as Tomlinson keeps him alive he's looking more and more dangerous to me. I don't thing I've sliced the data in any meaningful way that doesn't have him out of the top 3 teams, and things drop quickly off the top as you may have started to notice.I WANT A CHANCE! GO BRONCOS D!
The kiss of death....ugh!I like my chance with anyone, but one bad week and it's over.

As a fellow Bearssssssss fan, it's tough to wish ill will, but with 25k on the immediate line, can you blame me? Just kicking myself for not realizing the potential of the Chicago offense as it kicked over and started to rev in the one game Rex played the end of last year and the second half of the Carolina game last January. Looking back at my picks, Berrien would have been the best buck I spent in this contest, and Gould/Chi D have been better money than most of the other picks available. Congrats on having the cajones to stand behind the team you believe in and if I can't win you have my vote to bring home the bacon!

Hey, ctriopelle, can you list a breakdown of where the breakpoint scores are? Basically, the person at 100 has this score, the person at 200, etc. That way we can guage where we are based on adding up our own scores.

And thanks for the extra work!

James Spurny, holding at 1271.0 for the year.

CTRIOPELLE--THANKS FOR THE WORK--I'M E.RAMSEY 3RD OF TOP 30--KNEW I WAS DOING PRETTY GOOD, BUT HAD NO IDEA! ANYWAY, WHATS PAST IS NO MATTER, THIS WEEK IS ALL THAT COUNTS NOW. GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND ENJOY.

Ctriopelle,

Thanks for the extra work. I have really enjoyed the contest and this thread all year.

My 9 week total (I think) is 1347.5. This would appear to make me top 150 or so. I am Hal LaPray.

This contest has been Super. I am one of the lucky LT owners. I am also one of the unlucky Simms owners.

I don't really see how a seperate myself if I am lucky enough to make the finals. My only hope is an amazing run by Alex Smith (I do like his home stretch scheldule) and an amazing run by the Tampa WRs Clayton and Galloway (How did I drink so much Gruden kool-aid?)

Good Luck to Everyone.

Hmm, hadn't noticed or pondered the ineligible state deal before, happily I'm not from one of those states. Dumb question, what happens to the prizes that those folks would've gotten? Do they slide down to the next person in line?

I'm safe
Residents of Arizona, Louisiana, Arkansas, Montana, Iowa, Vermont, North Dakota and the province of Quebec may play and have their places noted in the standings, but are not eligible to win any prizes. This game is open to legal residents of all other states of the United States, and provinces of Canada. Persons residing in any other jurisdictions may enter (unless this contest or entry into this contest is prohibited by applicable local law), but will not be eligible to win any prizes.

Having Losman, Evans, and Horn has been a good start for me... Still kicking myself for not starting Evans over Muha in my league though...

Well, sitting on about 150 plus Wayne. Didn't think scoring was going to be that high this week, but some of the popular players came on late. Based on our current group of 1500 players, top 66% has been about 145-150 for a given week. Feeling pretty good about advancing, but I'd really like insurance from Wayne and a total breakdown by LT2 to improve my chances in the finals!

I'm in toruble at the moment. LT2 -18.9 and Javon Walker -5.1 to the resue???? Throw in A. Bryant -5.5 and SD -6 as well. Right now 118.8.
Grizz...Sorry to hear about your team taking a dive this week, didn't think all that talk would actually work! Good thing is Da Bearsss managed another W with Grossman laying a turd. All in all, I'd give up my shot at 25K (right now anyway) if someone could promise me a Chicago win in February!

Well, I think Mr. Kitna's gonna have to come through and give me a bump, though I managed to scrounge up points from not the usual suspects.

I have 127.1

+ Max (0, Kitna-12.3)

+ Max (0, LT2-12.8)

+ Max (0, McCardell-9.5)

+ Max (0, Scheffler-18.4)

+ Max (0, Feely-6.0)

Not sure what to make of it all yet :)

Add in the fact that Mia and Cin defenses put up 21 and 17, and they are the most popular defenses, the scoring this week looks to be pretty high. I'll probably be sitting at 165-170 assuming Wayne has a regular week but I won't feel terribly comfortable until I see Drinen's update tomorrow morning. With the field cut down as far as it is and the fact the cuts are deep the next 2 weeks it's hard to feel comfortable unless you get a pile of points from a narrowly held player or group of players.

Unfortunately, almost all of the guys on my roster have 20-30% ownership...and my only "savior" is Gates and he's been covered by Watson almost every week.

What those of us with already decent RB scores DIDN'T need was Gore going off, as it looks like he is going to do...this is starting to get to be a scary big scoring week....

I average around 125 / week and I've never been in the top 100. This week I'm looking at over 200. A lot of LT owners might be packing it in if he struggles this week.

I agree. If we can basically eliminate all the LT and SA owners from the contest, I will feel much better about doing well long term. For those of us with vanilla rosters we need all the "explosive" players to be severely limited...

I have been thinking if we could eliminate all the Gore owners (all 78.1% of you), I would feel much better about my chances. As it stands now, I feel like I have a huge handicap because I don't have Gore on my team. I need a player to make up the difference for Gore plus another player to differentiate my team.

Unfortunately, with a 78% take rate on Gore and just next week to kill us off (he's not killing anyone today by himself anyway at 21+ points), he will continue to be a massive presense to the contest. Guys with big initial costs making it difficult to draft for depth however (like LT2, SA and LJ) are easily wiped off the map with a bad week. SA owners could be saying their final goodbyes this week and depending on the outcome tonight massive numbers of LT owners may be gone too. Just depends on how many of them found the value of Bush/Parker/Gore as compliments, since any 2 of that trio this week has covered nicely for any possible shortcoming they may experience.

Sending the LT owners packing is going to cause some havoc. Looking at todays CRAZY day, I wont be surprised if it happens.

The Kevin Jones injury is going to send quite a few people packing as well as he has been a major Cog. Greg Jennings has a dissapointing day and he has been a pretty big player as well for alot of people.

Its going to be tough for alot of teams to survive Brett Favres and Marc Bulgers and Chad Penningtons and Mr McNabbs nothing days.

I dont think the scores are going to be as high as people are anticipating because of the significant # of Iconic players having such poor days.

Yeah, it's tough to get a real feel for the cutoff until Drinin's post on Monmday morning. That said however, my roster contains almost every "cheap" player of popular significance and basically none that are "unusual" (at least none that score). My score is a decent barometer of how the week witll go, at least it has been every week up to this point. When I do well, the cut is high, when I do poorly, the cut is low. Bad news for everyone is that I'm over 172 right now, (fast hand calcs, may be off a couple) my highest score to date by far. I'm usually 15-30 points above the cut every week and this week probably won't be any different from the rest. Good luck to everyone and see 999 of you next week!

I'm feeling pretty good after big days from Gore, Maroney, and Evans, but the Kevin Jones injury could be a huge blow to my chances. The only consolation is that I'm pretty strong at RB with Bush, Maroney, Dillon, and Gore. If there was one position where I could afford to lose an impact player, it was RB.

Delhomme 12.25

Rivers TBD

Simms 0.0

Gore 27.8

FWP 22.3

Rudi 12.8

Jacobs TBD

Norwood 0.2

Wayne 24.1

Edwards 19.8

Glenn 13.8

Roy Williams 11.9

Williamson 5.5

Jennings 3.6

Housh 3.5

Watson 18.4

Franks 1.6

Graham 7

Brown 2

Miami 21

Cinncy 16

my calculations come to 166.45, plus Rivers (-12.25) and Jacobs (-22.3). I'm thinking this gets me into next round, but I guess you never know for sure. I think these talks about a cutline of 160-170 have to be a little on the high side.... I can't see the cutline being past 140....

Finished at 132.2

Probably not good enough, but we'll see. It's funny that I'd get knocked out the week Alexander comes back. Big games by FWP and Travis Henry may save me.

Looking ok with QB's Losman, Palmer, WR's Evans, Wayne, Edwards, TE Watson, RB Gore, Parker, and LT/Drew Jones to go. It will be interesting to see how high the cut is this week.
