Not saying it is good or bad....but I think 75% of this team will be on the high % owned team. Every single selection has been on my team at one point or another.

Am I crazy for considering 4 QBs? With the sudden influx of cheap starters it seems like I can allocate resources so that I have a couple lottery tickets at QB. I've never done that before, but it seems enticing this year.

I've been a pretty strong believer in 3 QBs (along with 3 PK and 3 Def). I'm being drawn towards 4 QBs, although I think I'm leaning towards 2 mid-tier guys and 2 cheapies.
FWIW, I'm struggling to roster 3 Def and 3 PKs with the pricing being what it is. Might have to roll with 2 of each and hope for the best.

I always went with 2 upper-middle tier QBs. Tough this year with the value in low guys. Going with a stud and a pair of the cheapos. Can't justify taking all 3 when there are so many good WRs in the $4-5 range.
Cant move off of the 2 mid tier QBS I like even though the cheapies are tempting. Just cant convince myself that 2 of the cheap ones will give me more than the lesser of my current 2. I feel pretty et at QB, DT, and K. WR, RB, and my lesser TE is where I keep switching up.

RBs are the hardest for me. I don't want to pay for any studs but it's hard to predict who the values are. Only a few stand out.

What do you mean by give more? I'm taking a couple cheap guys over a middle tier guy not for their total production but so a) I have two QBs while my top guy is on a bye, 2) 3 QBs rolling every week and III) Depth for injuries. I'm also saving about $12 at the QB spot that can be plugged into other positions.

QB is so tricky for me, there are just so many excellent values and different approaches to take.
1. Only Luck (late bye is difficult) or Rodgers (week 7 bye is still very risky)
2. Brees/Brady/Tannehill/Romo paired with super cheap (~$5) option
3. Bradford and another low-mid priced option
4. 3 <$9 qbs
QB - 2 @ $18
RB - 4 @ $74
WR - 6 @ $91
TE - 2 @ $54
K - 2 @ $5
D - 2 @ $8

yep. I'm set at WR and TE, PK and D only moves based on $ left over from RB moves. QB is pretty much set, although plan B is looking somewhat enticing.

QB I see 2-3 diffrent setups but the vast majority to own in a similar way.
RB all high tier, 2 high 2 mid or 8 high end - fliers
WR 1-2 high all the rest 9$ and under (see what I did there?) or 8+ all under 15$
TE where dreams go to die this year!!! I predict Gronk goes down clears 40% of field and the year of the TE it is not and no one breaks 220ts.
K 3-6 cheap kickers norm, less that 5% own anyone more than 5$
TD lol no clue can't wait to see it this year. Mix of low comitee and all in one one beast.
Others: no 20 kicker guy this year, 5+ QB is common, someone goes all in on week 11 byes with minimal fliers on a hope and a prayer and finally week 5 lowest cut week 6 highest cut.

I mean will the 2 low priced actually score for me better than or equal to the one mid tier backup. Not total production but score for me, the weeks they produce less than my starter are meaningless. As for injuries, I don't worry about those much because if significant injuries strike I'm not cashing and that's the goal of the game. Finally the 2 cheap QBs would only save me about 4 bucks if it was 12 I might think about it very differently.Cliff Clavin said:

With yardage allowed and points allowed not counting against your score, is it more important to find:
A) an aggressive, blitz happy team with solid corners and return game
or
B) trying to predict streaming opportunities for the full season

Picking Defense in this contest is something I've never given much thought to. I always just grab a couple of cheap ones and hope for the best.
I'd be curious to know how much a good D matters if you make the final 3 weeks.
Also wondering how much scoring variance there is between the top and bottom D, season-long total.

Just anecdotal, but defense put me over the hump more than one week last year. I've never made it to the final 250 so I can't speak about that, but catching a big score from your defense can sure cover-up a lot of suckitude elsewhere on your roster.

Do you attribute your defensive scores to random luck or did you try to find the juicy match ups that gave you the best opportunity to score more points. Maybe I'm putting way too much effort into this. I can't help to think though, that a defense has a better chance to score points against TB, Tenn, Buf, Wash, SF, Hou, Cle, Jax, Oak, NYG, Chi....teams that either have inexperience at the QB position or veterans who have a tendency to throw more picks.

You want your defenses to be facing easier opponents early and tougher ones later. If the defense you pick has to play Green Bay, Denver, and Indy for example, you want those games to be in weeks 14-16 and the easier part of their schedule to be early on to carry you through the weekly cuts.

With points and yards allowed not factoring in, the analysis is turnovers, sacks, and TD returns -- none of which is particularly easy to predict (if predictable at all). I just try to ID teams that should have pretty good overall units, focusing on strong secondaries first and strong pass rushes 2nd. Beyond that, it's pretty much random luck IMO.
FWIW I made it to the final 250 and went with option B as stated above. I picked the best cheap streaming option (both were $6 or under) that had the best combined schedule. These are pro football players... put as many in front of terrible QBs and terrible offensive lines as possible. The worst safeties in the league are better at their profession than the worst QBs (for example, Manziel's Browns scored 0-30 against Bengals and they were in the bottom 10 of defenses last year).Tennessee_ATO said:

Hows this for a stream of opposing QBs? I looked for defenses playing either bad QBs or rookie/soph QBs, and picked 3 defenses for $10 total.
Starting in week 3, they will face:
