Well when I added George holani this morning, I somehow accidentally said to start him over Chuba Hubbard. Neat. Song choice pending outcome of this debacle…

Dude, I have to admit to thinking that was a little weird. I thought maybe you knew something. I didn't even see Chuba on your bench, so I didn't think it was ridiculous. It's not too bad. Chuba only scored 9.60. You're also looking at 41-6 with four left in the third, so maybe Holani gets a garbage time plunge. Not over yet.

I humbly bow to you this week…I am sad to lose but happy that this miscue didn’t cost me the week…and my beloved panthers won any way…

Yeah, it's not looking good for Summertime Sadness as we turn to the fall equinox.

Oh FFS. I sorta followed along with the Paul Weller countdown, but I just heard “Town Called Malice” in my algorithm and now I’m putting it all together. That’s that song??!

Oh jeez. Definitely heard it before and never knew artist or song title. Geez.

No one reads my posts?

Heh. Pip, sometimes I just miss it. I was never a huge Weller fan and tried a few songs (I definitely liked a few) but wasn't rigorous. I may have even heard it from you, actually. All I know was that it came on my algorithm and I knew the song, but didn't place it at all. I should have known from the repetition of the title, but I guess I've always missed it.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was down 8 heading into the MNF game with Jameson Williams. After the first series I was down 2. It remained that way.
Nobody was more surprised than me GB.
I have 2 more wins in this league, where I picked players based on songs I wanted to add to the playlist, than in the league where I tried to pick the best players.
It's a crapshoot.

I saw Paul Weller a few (I guess 10+ now) years ago when Toronto briefly had its own version of Riot Fest. That was fun.

I am thankful today that I handcuffed Trey Benson to James Conner or my team could be looking a whole lot worse right now. I still think Benson is as average as it's gets but at least I have "the guy" still.

I was writing the other day that I didn't think Benson would be a guy who is "the guy," but I don't know crap about crapola at times.
He just doesn't seem like a north/south guy at all to me. I'm sure he'll break some big plays but I won't be surprised if they look at someone else for the tough yards.

Okay. Sure. I don't really know, but I'm not sure Emari Demercado is that sort of guy, either. Bam Knight is an all-around RB who has been hurt over his couple of years in the league. Maybe Michael Carter down on their practice squad or they bring somebody in?

I think Benson is definitely going to get his crack at it.

I agree, no one in the roster is better. We've seen what those other guys are and Benson does have the game breaking thing going (I think).

Could there be a trade in the works? Kamara or Allen to the Cards? Saints and Jets are going nowhere fast.

I was going to say something but this changed my mind because I think these guys from Reddit are actually correct in both their assessment and the tendencies of Mickey Loomis, although the Saints brought in a guy to help Loomis out. Thomas Dimitroff, who used to be the GM with ATL from '08-'20.

"Trading Kamara would incur an immediate $12M additional cap hit on the Saints, the same as if they cut him after this season. This would put them (slightly) over the cap this year, but really is just taking away from next year’s cap thanks to the rollover. If they cut him after the season, they can spread the cap hit over 26 and 27 if they prefer.

Financially, they’ve already paid him most of the money he was going to earn this year, the last 20% being the $2.5M in salary.

All in all they have very little incentive to trade him this year for anything less than a 4th, so I imagine there’s little chance of it happening. I’d say most likely he gets cut after the season, but he’s almost equally likely to get a one year “extension” that just pushes the cap hit down the road one more season."

"...but he’s almost equally likely to get a one year “extension” that just pushes the cap hit down the road one more season."

If Mickey Loomis is still the GM, his track record suggests a 100% chance of an extension to push the cap hit down the road for another season.

Nice kicker pick, Eephus. ****. That actually bummed me out for a flash when I saw it and processed it. You sneaky McManus, you.

Owe songs for:

LA Chargers
Isaiah Bond
Tyquan Thornton
Jaxson Dart
Brashard Smith

Let's do work!

You know I laughed at this because it was funny but the whole Bravery thing sort of went right by me without the impact it just had. Back in around—what?—2003 or so? I dug that first album. I didn't listen to the second one so much, but I liked the single from it. I don't know why I never made more of a point to listen to it. Maybe because (and this is not a Thumper thing but is just how I feel earnestly and non-judgmentally) The Bravery was really just pop music to me and pop is a bit disposable? I don't know. It's not even snobbery. Like, if you put the first album on I'd be psyched. It just came and went. Cool stuff, though.

It was 2005? Holy smoke. That's a lot later than I thought. Okay. Cool. This is why 6th Amendment testimony must stand scrutiny by some sort of cross or waiver by the other party. Dang.
