I've basically switched my beer drinking to nearly 100% NA beer at this point. Mostly the Athletic Brewery, I signed up for their online club, and order it online. They are constantly coming out with new brews and if you gave me a blind test, there's no way I could tell it wasn't regular full-alchohol beer. A complete no brainer. And it's not even really any more expensive than craft beers in a grocery stores these days ($10.99 per 6-pack).
I've been - at the doctor's orders - off booze for the past 6 weeks or so. Athletic makes some great NA beers. Definitely the best I've had.

I do miss getting a "buzz" off the stuff, though.

That said, I had a few NA brews last night and a couple the night before while at a conference and I swear just being in a social situation with others drinking gave me a little bit of a buzz. Maybe my mind just got tricked a little bit.

Huge Ahtletic fan, the Sierra Nevada offerings may even be better.

Following - as I'm off the sauce for another 2.5 weeks or maybe forever depending on results of an upcoming blood test.

I love their Hazy too.

I really like both IPAs and the Brewveza (no idea what that is). I could pass on the Golden. 12 pack is $18 here every 3-4 weeks.

Wisconsin might need an intervention.

I'm still (basically) off booze. Had my last "real" drink on February 1st! My pancreatic enzymes are still technically high so my doc says lay off for at least another month. He did say that I can have "a few" here and there but can't go balls-out

I am going to dip my toes back into the waters this weekend as I am going to Denver to hang out with some buddies before a conference out there. Fingers crossed.

How can this be correct? It's not like you cross a border and things all of a sudden shift dramatically like that. This appears broadly correlated with income. Taking out wisconsin

I've taken a few complete weeks off here and there, but I still don't notice any major differences in sleep or health really Probably still on an overall downtrend. A max out night for me used to be a cocktail and a split of a bottle of wine probably 60/40 for me over 4 hours. Now it's a cocktail and a glass over the same duration. Certainly cheaper.

Just got my Oura ring! Thanks Joe!

My plan is to get as drunk as hell over the next week to set a baseline, then go on the wagon and watch my numbers improve.

Thinking about getting this ring. Didn't see a topic on it so posting here.

@Joe Bryant

I have the Apple Watch and I like it but mostly for the reasons the info the ring can also provide. And I hate having to switch watches all the time. I have a 30 year old watch that I'll always wear.

Haven’t had a drink in 3.5 years and I am down almost a whole pound.
About the same for me. :hifive: From 1994 to 2021 i more than made up for my retirement. Those were fun years, atleast the ones I remember, but i never learned to just have a few and it was always one drink would lead to 13. Makes for awkward social situations at times not drinking, but otherwise i don't miss it.

Still been focused on not having that one last drink when I do have a few drinks. And actually have had a few instances to not have any drinks on an occasion where I might have one or two. (e.g. this past Sunday...nothing going on besides yard work and watching the tournament. Normally would have had a few beers, but decided to abstain.)
