Eh, it was the Jets (no offense). Who has made it work there in the last 25 years other than Rex Ryan?I think everybody who said that Brady and Arians weren't getting along had a point after all. I was among those who saw discontent just in the doings and dealings of all of this.
Crazy offseason. Careful what you wish for. Todd Bowles is an absolute statue of a coach. I predict a 11-6 year with him at the helm.
I know, Brady. But they'll have another difficult schedule and Bowles is their coach.
He won't be. Arians will be run n' gun compared to Bowles. Lots of 4th and 1s not gone for. Unless he's learned something.but if he’s even 15% more aggressive than Arians I’ll consider it an upgrade. That guy left a lot of meat on the bone
Well I hope he has. Otherwise that blows. He won't be. Arians will be run n' gun compared to Bowles. Lots of 4th and 1s not gone for. Unless he's learned something.
And I don’t expect Bowles will have much to do with the offense. If that philosophy changes it’s because Brady wants it to. What we might see are fewer deep shots. Especially on 3rd and short, which was maddening at times. He won't be. Arians will be run n' gun compared to Bowles. Lots of 4th and 1s not gone for. Unless he's learned something.

Is 80-48 enough games?Bruce Arians had my respect before he was ever the Bucs Head Coach, admired him as an assistant in Pitt, watched him become the glue in Indy when the other head coach had cancer and stepped aside and allowing Bruce Arians to show he was a head coach in disguise. He went on to Arizona with great success and then finally achieve the ultimate as Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Arians is almost 70 years old and owes nothing to anyone. He only was a Head Coach for about a decade.
80-48 as a Head Coach and a 6-3 Playoff record including 4-0 during the Playoffs in 2020.
Hall of Fame vote for me
Yes, but he won two Super Bowls, a national title, and put together a dynasty. I wouldn't call what Arians has done a dynasty, but he is looked at favorably from a career point of view IMO.Jimmy Johnson was 80-64, 9-4 Playoffs
From a lifestyle standpoint, Gisele would absolutely pick Miami over TB. Gorgeous woman in a city full of gorgeous people.Brady is gonna end up in Miami.
and crime. With a crime rate of 36 per one thousand residents, Miami has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 28.From a lifestyle standpoint, Gisele would absolutely pick Miami over TB. Maybe I'm sleeping at the wheel, but where is this coming from?Brady is gonna end up in Miami.
Some dope on twitter.Maybe I'm sleeping at the wheel, but where is this coming from?
It’s not happening. Not even worth discussing.Maybe I'm sleeping at the wheel, but where is this coming from?
It's been carrying on down here n South Florida for months...let me catch everyone up.Maybe I'm sleeping at the wheel, but where is this coming from?
He had to be. He caused it all to happen...Right?Brady in the front row for the Arians/Bowles press conference. Clearly hates the guy.
The "dope" that posted on Twitter was Dale Arnold, a Boston media guy that was around for the launch of WEEI radio in 1991 and stayed there 30 years before retiring. He used to be a play-by-play broadcaster for the Patriots and Bruins. A couple of years ago, Arnold tweeted that Brady would be signing with Tampa . . . said to be the first one with that tidbit. Some dope on twitter.
That sound like a back handed slap for Brady to anyone else? Right hook/uppercut?
FYI, they did bring in Shaq at Guard from New England, but I hear you on the OL holes, retirement came out of left field but Brady had not said he was coming back yet, still think he could be talked out of it as the season starts.2nd round pick Luke Goedeke (57th pick) is a road grader
used to be a TE, went on a 7000 calorie diet to become a RT
he'll play left guard in the NFL, he's nimble for a big man (6'5", 312)
(Bucs lost both their starting Gs from last year - FA & retirement)
very strong - 26 reps at the combine were Top 5-6 for OL
look up highlights of Lew Nichols III (leading rusher in FBS) and you'll probably find Goedeke pancaking somebody
nasty mfer
bunch of Twitter videos to scroll through here - consistently drives his man into the second level (or pancakes him), does a lot of combo blocks where he hits the DL then bounces off to nail a LB at the next level
my favorite - just tosses his man to the ground at the end of the player; he doesn't wrestle people, he moves them
They lost Whitehead but will add McCollum to this bunch. The Bucs Secondary is a mystery at times for me. It would seem the Bucs did a terrific job of drafting in recent years with a lot of these guys panning out and starting for them in the Super Bowl.
CB-Carlton Davis 28th/116 and one of the issues must be injuries since he only started 10 games and is thought to be a pretty wanted free agent Cornerback set to hit the market. Davis was a late 2nd round pick in 2018 #63 overall and if he does sign elsewhere I think the Bucs might get a compensatory pick but I could be wrong about that.
CB-Sean Murphy-Bunting($3.3M '22) 90th/116 and battled injuries all year, he definitely was not a shut down guy. Also a 2nd round pick in 2019 and has a year left on his rookie deal.
CB Jamel Dean ($2.75M) 19th/116 Saw extensive time last season and rated strong according to PFF, he was a 3rd round pick in 2019, the same year as SMB. In a perfect world, SMB bounces back to his 2020 form and Dean fills the void left by Davis and the Bucs are not having to overspend in their secondary where they have gotten by with a lot o f rookie deals to be able to afford Brady and all the other pieces.
S Jordan Whitehead 27th/92 and a 4th round pick 2018, same year as Carlton Davis and looks to be heading towards free agency. Bucs could lose or will lose 2 potential starters in their Secondary and they don't have a ton of cap space. They have a 1st and 2nd round pick but likely do not want to be reliant on the Draft and be forced into rookie starters in their secondary but they are drifting that way.
S Antoine Winfield Jr ($2M) 2nd/92 2nd round pick in 2020 and has been a massive find for the Bucs. They have had amazing success thru the draft stocking up their secondary.
S Mike Edwards ($2.75M) 47th/92 3rd Round 2019...again another guy they drafted in recent years still on his rookie deal and likely will see extensive time this season possibly filling in for Whitehead assuming he departs.
These last 3 years have been hard to grasp…now my favorite player of all time is here. One game at a time…Evans and Julio outside with Godwin and Gage in the slot and Leonard in the backfield is ridiculous. Hope everybody stays healthy.
I love playing devil's advocate. Let's not consider the games he has missed over the last 2 years, but the ones he played in - 19 games, 116 targets, 82 catches (70.7% catch rate), 1205 yards (14.7 YPR), 4 TD's. If you cut that down to a 17 week season, it equals 73/1078/3. Julio gets a chance to catch passes from the GOAT, and I bet he is looking forward to it.Julio couldn't be more washed up. He's missed 14 games over the past 2 years and is coming off a 400 yd, 1 td season.
Congrats, I guess, Buc fans.
Thanks.Julio couldn't be more washed up. He's missed 14 games over the past 2 years and is coming off a 400 yd, 1 td season.

I gotta remember to just enjoy it because this will be gone soon and this is just so amazing. Even if they have great seasons in the future, it won’t be with the greatest QB ever and practically an all-star team. These last 3 years have been hard to grasp…now my favorite player of all time is here. One game at a time…
Not going to argue those raw numbers. I made a post in Julio's thread from a guy who watches a ton of tape without bias. He analyzed Julio's snaps from last year, and when active he was still very effective.Julio couldn't be more washed up. He's missed 14 games over the past 2 years and is coming off a 400 yd, 1 td season.
Congrats, I guess, Buc fans.
They didn't bulk up like Lenny in the off season?Capella said:Wtf is with all the injuries
Sounds bad from what I’m reading. Players all standing around him, helmets off, carted off the field. They just paid him $39M, so I’m assuming he’s an anchor of their OL. Brutal.menobrown said:Twitte's been blowing up about Ryan Jensen down with leg injury, got the cart, comments saying they are hoping it's not as bad as it looked.
I like this. They didn't bulk up like Lenny in the off season?
At least we have 5 weeks…but yea one of the worst possible injuries it seems to me.Rough start.
Brady probably already regretting that un-retirement decision. At least we have 5 weeks…but yea one of the worst possible injuries it seems to me.
