The Rams total TE production last season was 62-668-3 last season. That was with Cooper Kupp missing essentially 6 games.
And the year before that Higbee went 72/620/3
So…
I’d say if you get anything resembling that from Parkinson that’s a score in TE-P considering he’s basically free.
Does 2022 matter? Kupp missed half the season and Puka was in college. Higbee was all they had for much of that season.
I have a hard time seeing Parkinson (or Allen for that matter) being higher than 5th in the pecking order behind Puka, Kupp, Robinson, and Kyren.
It matters in the context of the point you weee trying to make about Rams TEs catching passes. E.g. McVay coaching philosophy.
but we don’t know what we don’t know.
I’d say it’s TBD. They went out and immediately signed Parkinson to a 3-year deal so clearly the Rams felt they needed him. And again, at 6’7” he brings a lot of size to the red zone, something they lacked a bit last year.
But my overarching point was more about value. A lot of us play in TE-P leagues, some requiring 2 TEs. Both my TE-P leagues are 16 team, so finding any TE that’s gonna have ~500 yards & a handful of TDs can be a weekly difference maker.
Parkinson is under the radar right now and he’s dirt cheap if not free. I’m not planting a flag, just pointing out some value.
Take it or don’t - the advice doesn’t cost you a thing.
