TE Dalton Kincaid, BUF (1 Viewer)

Will see but to many counting out Knox, it doesn’t always work that quickly, it can but I’m betting Knox still gets his.

NFL Rookie Watch @NFLRookieWatxh
Dalton Kincaid is reportedly thought to have the “same ability” as Travis Kelce in terms of route running, getting open according to Kyle Whittingham (Utah HC).Many NFL scouts reportedly believe Kincaid will be an “elite” pass catcher from day one.Jeremy Fowler (NFL Insider) said on a recent episode of “One Bills Live” that he could see Kincaid as a “Top-10” TE by season’s end.Kincaid said in an interview that he hopes to have “five rings” in five years. The Bills rookie TE has HUGE potential

Some high praise, especially the part in bold, from an ex-GM.

Anyone with criticisms of Buffalo’s selection of tight end Dalton Kincaid in the first round this year just needs to watch some tape. He is about as far from a traditional TE as one could imagine. This offense has struggled some finding an option from the slot position since the first departure of Cole Beasley. But struggle no more, as Kincaid will serve in that role and be bigger, faster and as much of a threat as any slot option in the league and definitely in this Bills regime. He will be a matchup nightmare much closer to Travis Kelce than that of a run-blocking type. In fact, if we see Kincaid blocking, it will be offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey’s designs that are questioned, not Kincaid as a blocker.

The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia reports Bills first-round TE Dalton Kincaid has “looked the part.”

“He has remained a consistently targeted asset by Josh Allen and the first-team offense throughout, constantly making himself available and completing sizable gains during 11-on-11 work,” Buscaglia reported Sunday. “Kincaid has an excellent feel for the soft spots against zone coverage and has also been a chore to deal with in one-on-one coverage.” Looking good in practice, often against air, is just Step 1 for a rookie, but it is never taken for granted. Buscaglia does note that the Bills have traditionally taken things slow with rookies under coach Sean McDermott. Buscaglia believes the next step for Kincaid is holding up as a blocker once the pads goes on.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane said the team could use more two tight end sets this season.
Beane said Kincaid would mostly be deployed “flexed out” as a pass catcher while Dawson Knox would be used in line. It’s hardly a surprise given Kincaid’s pass-catching pedigree and his usage so far in Buffalo training camp. “We’ll mix it up some, it won’t always be the same,” Beane added. Beane said Kincaid wants to improve his blocking — a development that might net him more playing time as a rookie. Kincaid, being drafted as the 11th tight end off the board, has become an increasingly polarizing fantasy option this summer. He has an outside shot at becoming Josh Allen’s No. 2 option behind Stefon Diggs.

Kincaid🤝Allen "Training camp in 2023 is nearing its end for the Bills, but the song has remained the same with rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid. Almost every day, Kincaid is making himself available through excellent route running and movement skills for his size, and then capitalizing with effortless receptions while turning up field looking for more. Allen has shown complete trust in Kincaid when on the field together,"

The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia reports Josh Allen has “complete trust” in TE Dalton Kincaid.

“Almost every day, Kincaid is making himself available through excellent route running and movement skills for his size, and then capitalizing with effortless receptions while turning up field looking for more,” Buscaglia said. “Allen has shown complete trust in Kincaid when on the field together, and there was no better example of that evolution than on Allen’s final throw of Monday,” when Kincaid got open in the middle of the field and caught an intentionally low-and-away pass from Allen for a long gain. The Bills are widely expected to use more two tight end sets in 2023, potentially meaning consistent snaps and routes for Kincaid, who is being taken as the 11th tight end off fantasy draft boards. The rookie has done nothing but impress in training camp.

I am all in on this guy. I absolutely think he will be a top 10 TE and could be top 5 come season end. He has the talent and the Bills have a need for a 2nd option.
Seems like they don't trust Davis and who could blame them.

Seems like most first round tight ends haven't done squat fantasy-wise but Kincaid's situation is so good. Dude just chews up yardage in the middle of the field. I think he's' gonna be startable within the first few weeks of the season.
Same I am targeting him and Laporta as my top Backup TE's
I was able to get both one via trade the other I drafted.

We’ve posted a lot about how Dalton Kincaid is going to be used all over the formation. Interested to see how he lines up tomorrow.“Kincaid didn’t impress as a blocker against the Steelers, so it will be interesting to see how often he is split wide or lines up in the slot. All three of his catches came from the slot, creating a mismatch whether he’s covered by a cornerback or linebacker.”

I mean, I don't like any of the other guys over him. Not gonna risk moving down.

His ADP in FFPC startups is pick 55 as the 6th rookie off the board, only like 6 spots after Addison and QJ.

So far, he is my most drafted player, 6 out 7 leagues. Today was my first draft that I didn’t get a chance to draft, he went mid 9th.

I got him in a rookie draft @ 2.03 in FFPC back in May. I thought that was highway robbery!

I have pick 4 in a rookie draft tomorrow. 1.25 PPR for TE.
As of right now, he's my pick if the top three are the usual guys.
I got him at 1.12 in a TE premium league
When?
Today
So who went top 12.

Kept thinking it was about tight end time during the draft. Just never happened. Then I decided to punt the position knowing id figure something out. By the time pick 142 came around I figured it was time to at least roster one. Took this kid not knowing much more then he was a 1st round pick and plays with Allen. Then I read this thread and I felt kinda happy. Who knows how this plays out this year, but his upside is top 10 as a rookie. I'll take that.

Got him at 1.11 in our rookie draft.

Charbonnet also fell to me there, and I could have used the RB depth--but I felt like Kincaid's upside was too high. I had him around my 5th or 6th overall guy in the class

How are Kincaid and Charbonnet both available at 11?

How significant will rookie Dalton Kincaid’s role be?
Here's @JoeBuscaglia take:"Through every stage of the spring and summer practices, Kincaid has looked like a perfect fit in Buffalo. He established an immediate rapport with quarterback Josh Allen and was a consistent contributor to the first-team offense in training camp. Although the Bills operated out of 11 personnel more often than with Kincaid on the field in their preseason finale, don’t look at that as an absolute. The Bills likely have big plans for their super impressive rookie to begin the year and have longed for a 12-personnel look to challenge a defense for some time."

Rookie tight end. 1st NFL game on Monday night at the Jets. Whose got the nads, or lack of options, to start week 1? Seems like a game where Sauce matches up with Diggs and at minimum lowers the amount of usual targets he gets. Rodgers at home feels like he is gonna put some at least 21 pts. Over under st 45.5.

I am right there trying to decide in a league in which Kelce went down. Impossible to say how he will be used in his first game.

Tempted to start him but I’m taking a wait and see approach. I have Juwan in right now and also picked up Likely with the Mandrews news. I expect to eventually make Kincaid my full time starter once he breaks out, and he will break out.

Taking a wait and see approach and the Jets are a tough matchup.

Will roll with Juwan against a porous Tenn D that struggled against the TE position last year.

People seemed to get burned starting their shiny new toy Thursday night (Skyy Koore and Toney) so I’m going to see how he does before starting him this season.
