I didn't really understand how he suddenly stopped being on the injury report.I watched every play. He was literally jogging off the line of scrimmage on almost every play. He's clearly not right.
I'll let you know next week.Is it just me, but does Jimmy always seem to disappear in the fantasy playoffs?
He blew up last week.Last year he was pretty average. Is it just me, but does Jimmy always seem to disappear in the fantasy playoffs?
Jimmy Graham played on 72-of-86 snaps in Sunday's loss at St. Louis.
Graham was held to just two catches for 25 yards, but his playing time and foot was not an issue. It was simply a case of the Rams taking him away and the Saints passing game struggling on the road once again. Graham has another difficult matchup at Carolina in Week 16, but owners still alive shouldn't be in a panic. He's an excellent bet to bounce back in a big way.

He's scored a TD in 9 of the 14 games he's played this year, and in 5 of those games he score 2 TD's. He's only had one period where he went two straight weeks without scoring. Meanwhile Carolina Defense has given up touchdowns to opposing Tight Ends in 7 of the last 11 weeks. For those of us Graham owners who survived last week's debacle, you are obviously putting him out there next week. But how are you feeling about it? He did great against the Panthers 2 weeks ago (6 for 58, 2 TD). Was last week just a fluke?
Please no part 2. Not looking good so far.Nice week for a no-show, Jim.

Not yet. We need one. He is in the red zone now. What? did he get a TD?
And now they finally decide to use him and he single handedly drives them down the field and scores.

The difference between the franchise tag for tight ends vs. wide receivers in 2013 was $4.5 million.
Jimmy Graham is an unrestricted free agent that will be back with the Saints in 2014, either via a precedent-setting long-term deal or via the franchise tag. If forced into the latter, Graham's camp will certainly argue that he should be considered a wide receiver. The CBA states that "the tender will apply to the position in which the player participated in the most plays." That would make Graham a wideout, but PFT notes that the Saints could counter by arguing the tight end position has changed around the league. They'll be trying to save every dollar as they're reportedly $12.5 million over the projected 2014 cap heading into the offseason.

The Graham contract situation will be very interesting, given his fantasy value.
Saints GM Mickey Loomis confirmed impending free agent Jimmy Graham will be franchise-tagged if the two sides can't agree to a long-term contract.
As expected. Graham isn't going anywhere. In addition to saying Graham will be tagged if need be, Loomis said the Saints will tag him as a tight end because "that's where he was drafted and that's what he is." Graham's camp may beg to differ. He played just one-third of his snaps as a traditional tight end in 2013. The difference between the tight-end tag and the receiver tag was $4.5 million last year. We could have a real contract dispute on our hands.
