TE Jimmy Graham, CHI (4 Viewers)

  Get outta there Jimmy.

I guess I haven't really watched him play much this year since I just haven't seen Seahawks games but it seems like they only target him in the red zone. He isn't gonna be as athletic as he was when he was putting up 80-1200-10 or whatever but he should still easily be a mismatch against LBs and smaller safety's in the middle of the field but Seattle just doesn't target him there
Jimmy is finishing his route and Wilson is facing the other EZ.

The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta passes along word that impending free agent Jimmy Graham is "generally considered really unlikely" to re-sign with the Seahawks.

Graham is 31 and headed toward free agency for the first time in his career. He scored 10 touchdowns this season, but Graham's usage has long been odd since being acquired from the Saints a few years ago. Graham and Russell Wilson are extremely good friends, which could help Seattle keep Graham -- if they even want to -- but he surely is going to test the market. Perhaps a return to the Saints could work out if New Orleans cuts its losses with Coby Fleener.

Graham has looked slow for quite some time. On top of this the most glaring issue in Seattle's offense is a giant hole at blocking TE and Graham is not the guy they need to help with this problem. Zack Miller was awesome. Graham is the opposite of that. Graham is a special talent in some regards, but he's never been the guy that Seattle needed to improve their offense if they want to run the ball and make that their identity. It feels like they've spent two seasons searching for their identity. They need to make a choice and run with it. Wilson led the NFL in TD passes this last year, but its not the formula they need if they want to be the dominate physical bully they were before Graham arrived.

He's outta there. Probably back to NO on a 2 year deal.
As a Graham owner I would look to sell if he went back to the Saints. People may be thinking this will bring back results as in previous years with the Saints but with Graham being older and the offense converting more to the run, I don't see this as a good thing.

I see it as making them more dangerous on offense. he might actually catch passes outside the redzone 10 yard line.

Speaking at his season-ending press conference, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he would "love" to re-sign impending free agent Jimmy Graham.

Carroll said that's been communicated to Graham. Graham's usage has often been baffling in Seattle, but he's coming off his first 10-touchdown season since 2014. Now 31, Graham did see his yards per catch slip to an ugly 9.12, however. The Seattle Times has reported Graham is unlikely to remain in Seattle.

I know kittle did well for a rookie, but San Fran seems like an ideal landing spot for Jimmy.

Jimmy G²!!!

Look for Graham to be signed at a "key" piece for a team to contend. He wants to be used like he was in N.O. Seattle is in decline, no reason to stay there. Can you imagine him and Gronk on the same team  . Would not surprise me if Kraft went all in.

Going to be interesting to see how and what Graham can do on another team. No question SEA didn't use him as much as they could or should have, and he had some amazing play when he was used and was "on" (two 1-handed TDs against the Bills anyone?). But watching him in games here in the PNW when he wasn't injured or relegated by game plan to more of a blocking role, Graham didn't seem to have as much of the "it" factor he did in NO.

Specifically, things like his ability to get clear separation, some ball-handling issues, and even his ability to block effectively at times were uneven.

I wonder how much of the old Jimmy Graham is really still there. We'll see.

Seattle never could figure out how to use him. He didn't look exactly the same to me but not nearly as much of a decline as there was in his numbers.

The Ravens would be ideal. Baltimore got a Top 12 season out of the corpse of Ben Watson this year. Even if they bring in a WR1 like Allen Robinson or Sammy Watkins, Graham would still be no worse than the third receiving option including a pass catching RB. These days I can't get a high second round dynasty pick for him. Landing in Baltimore would move him into that range.

Will be interested to see what additions Seattle makes to fill TE vacancy, if Graham leaves.  If they don't draft one of quality receiving TE's in the draft, Nick Vannett will be a nice roster add in dynasty. Thought he looked like a quality TE coming out of college.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reports talks between the Saints and free agent Jimmy Graham have "stalled."

Per Russini, both sides remain hopeful of getting a deal done. The Packers reportedly maintain interest. Graham should be signing on someone's dotted line by Wednesday evening.

Packers signed TE Jimmy Graham, formerly of the Seahawks, to a three-year contract.

Graham appeared headed for a reunion with the Saints, but the sides couldn't figure out the financials. Graham is coming off his first double-digit touchdown campaign since 2014 but saw his yards per catch crater from 14.2 to 9.1 last season. The drop off came even as Graham was another year removed from his devastating knee injury. Now 31, he required frequent maintenance days in Seattle. Despite his advancing age and seeming loss of a step, Graham is an intriguing pairing with a quarterback who at one point coaxed an eight-score season out of Richard Rodgers.

Well, with the release of Jordy, I'm not sure Graham could have gone to a better spot. Should be darn interesting to see how this plays out.

Perfect spot for him I'd think. But Rodgers hasn't had a good TE in... Ever? Aside from Finley of course.

Rodgers force fed replacement level richard rodgers 8 TDs (and also got miraculous production out of Tom Crabtree), loved to iso Finley and later in the limited time he was actually healthy Jared Cook in the RZ, so potential for Graham to put up monster numbers this season. If you have game rewind, go check out how filthy GB was doing Chicago in the redzone on SNF in 2011, and replace James Jones with Jimmy Graham and Jordy Nelson with Davante Adams. GB's line is also way better than Seattle (as is their run game), and Philbin is back to orchestrating offensive game-planning which is also a boon.

Top five in dynasty in the next couple of years? Too high of ranking? I could see him motivated with a stud throwing him the rock.

Generally agree with this. Top 5 might be a little too high, but certainly in the conversation. I think GBs follow up personnel moves will play a major role in valuing Graham.

Right now- the WR cupboard is bare. Adams, Cobb, Allison.....

I've received a couple of offers for him since the trade. One involving Olsen, who before this I would have put slightly ahead of Graham.

I think this is going to work out rather well, presuming McCarthy uses him properly. Graham is a QB's best friend. I don't know really what the deal was in Seattle, besides injury, but I think it just had more to do with the focus on the run and the tendency of Wilson to roll out. Honestly Rodgers needs him and I think he will inevitably lean on him. Brees was lobbying hard to get him back in NO, so I think Graham has been told or believes he will be extensively used in GB.

Seattle's offensive line was crap as was the playcalling at times.  wilson is great, but it seemed like him and graham never really meshed well together.

I'm looking to trade him. Not that i think he'll bust in GB but this seems like a good time to cash in. Not going to give him away though......

But Rodgers is not a TE's best friend.

We've all been getting hyped up for some new GB TE every year for what seems like forever.  It's true Graham is probably the best of them (although he's certainly not the same Jimmy Graham he was 3 years ago), but it seems like they've been getting progressively more talented players in there while getting progressively worse results.

Most of the recent GB TEs have been better outside of GB than they were in GB, yet we still treat this as a situation where we expect them to be better in GB than they were elsewhere.

I think Graham will be solid, but I'm not expecting much more out of him than he was delivering in Seattle, which probably makes him a sell for me.

I'd swap Graham for Olsen without a second thought.

I'm not so sure about that. Jordy has been there and has been Rodger's security blanket and red zone target for quite awhile, and still the TE's were fairly decent in stretches. Without Jordy, Graham could really turn into his new security blanket/red zone target. We'll see, but that seems like a great, natural role for him.

What's everybody taking over/under 8.5 TDs this season?
I think Graham is going to be huge in GB.   Wilsons big plays are all after everything breaks down and he is running around...good for WRs..not so good for Graham.  With Rodgers and the GB passing attack welcome back to the Saint days.

Finley's best year ever was 767 yards and 8 TDs.  Is an aging Graham likely to do better?  Why?
