Unless Arthur wants to run a lot of 13 personnel (which he might very well do), this isn't good news for any of them. Make no mistake...Washington is going to get a good number of snaps, regardless. He's a road grader.

This probly hurts Friermuth the most. I could see Jonnu having a nice year, but he's almost certainly going to take a hit from last season.

Gotta think that Heyward is gone

He's a core STer, though. And cheap.

He could get shifted full-time to "FB" and just get used on teams/the handful of times a month they may run a play with a true FB.

Definitely cold weather. But I'd say it's a top 5 fan base for players if you can produce.

Jonnu should help the 13 package be more productive.

Just looking like a headache. As is...would you feel comfortable putting Jonnu or Pat in your starting lineup? Seems like they may cancel each other out. So we should expect a dip for both TEs? I can see Arthur calling all this dink and dunk crap and Rodgers being like: "Eff this...I'm bombing it to DK."

Smith doesn't call Dink and Dunk. His offensive philosophy is all about attacking the deep middle of the field.

I am way over weighted in having Muth in FFPC leagues thus far. I think he is probably still valuable compared to ADP, but this is a big hit.

This is where I'm at except I'm fading the WRs too. None of these guys are stylistically the guys Rodgers prefers in an offense; Jonnu might be the closest. I'll consider their RBs, but otherwise I think the Steelers offense might be a full on avoid pending where their ADPs all land come August. Shame bc I liked Freirmuth around TE20 where he is currently, but Jonnu probably steals most of the value away from that ranking.

thats a big IF in an offense with so many players planning to contribute. Metcalf will be a fan fav, but everyone else is under investigation by the fans, even Kaleb.

Me too. Fading Jonnu seemed smart only to gobble up a ton of Muth. lol. Kaboom. Granted Muth was going 7 rounds later, but thought he was a steal this year. Back to the drawing board.

I thought my post kind of insinuated they cancel each other out to some degree.

I think Metcalf will be fed a good amount of targets. If he can get on the same page as Rodgers it could be his best year yet.

This Jonnu acquisition is nothing more than Arthur Smith wanting his guy. Both Jonnu and Muth will get targets but neither will likely be startable as you won't know which one to start each week.

Will be good for Rodgers and the offence but not good if you are wanting to start a PIT TE in fantasy.

Maybe this trades wakes people up to realize you shouldn't build your team around TE. If you dont get a top 5 guy then just stream - redraft or dynasty.

No. Unless you have very shallow benches. Especially no if TEP. At worst you can ship him off for a later pick but I still believe in his talent - the water are just muddy now.
