Bb4+ c3I don't see it considered anywhere -
For black, did we look at Bb4+? It forces his king down to something like Kc1?
Thx. I missed that again.Bb4+c3I don't see it considered anywhere -

Probably prefer Bd7 at this point.Thx. I missed that again.Bb4+c3I don't see it considered anywhere -

Why do we prefer Bb7 over Bd7? I didn't see that discussion either.
I'm in agreement after looking closely. That's three - gonna make this one.I'm good w Bd7
O did indeed make the h6 move. Anything else to consider but Kh3 that we should look at?31.h4 h6
32.Kh3 Kg7
33.Qa2
The main negative that I see with h5 is if he goes g5, we can no longer move our king up to support the pawn advance. Are we good with h5?
Do you mean Ng5? If so, I'm perfectly happy with that as he is wasting a tempo putting his N there since he can't go further with it. I think that leads to a draw. The main negative that I see with h5 is if he goes g5, we can no longer move our king up to support the pawn advance. Are we good with h5?
We will likely reconstitute this game. If so we'll just go with Qa2 as that was the option most in our thinking at the time that I blew it and didn't move.nysfl2 said:I think that I like Qa2, with h5 as a reasonable second option.
Qa2 extracts ourselves from the pin. I don't think that he's going to go h5 yet, as he can't take the pawn back yet. If he starts to move the king in range to take the pawn back, we can go h5 then.
h5 probably leads to Ng5, but he can't do much from there as long as our king stays in range of h3.
Qb3 is out, as it leads to Qxd2+

Ra6 Rd1 (from f1)I think they're preparing for Rc3 to win the pawn. We should look at that.

Ra7 Rc3
Bb3 ???
Doesn't look awful, but it keeps us on the defense
a4 Rc3
Ra5 Bf2
Bxf2 Kxf2
Rxe5 Bxc6
Rf5+
Looks pretty good, actually. I don't see much worse that he can do following a4. Rd1 just leads to us protecting the bishop with Ra7.
g4 would be an option, but it just leads to Be4, which doesn't change things much. Opens up a little more space for our rook to move.
Be7 stops the Rc3 threat, but doesn't do a lot that's productive, unless we want to fo f6 and try to get rid of that e5 pawn.
Trying to see what the issue is here after Ra7:Team o has moved Rd1. pretty much expected. Ra7?
Edit: Kutta just sent a crowing message. I fear we are missing something here.
maybe they are hoping we go Rd8 rather than Ra7? if so, they can then go Bxc6 and i think that line for them would be good. of course, we shouldn't go Rd8.nysfl2 said:Trying to see what the issue is here after Ra7:Sand said:Team o has moved Rd1. pretty much expected. Ra7?

Rxd7 - they lose ground
Bxc6 Bxc6
Rd8+ Ke6 - OK?
Bf2 Bxf2
Kxf2 we can still protect the pawn with c5
