There was a "history of..." episode that kind of recapped everything pertinent that happened prior to this season. I think that was just a couple of weeks ago. You could watch that, then the couple of episodes since that, and be good. The one where they found the cross was pretty intriguing in general, I thought. So I have this season’s episodes recorded and I was meaning to binge watch, is it safe to just delete them since it appears this has been a big waste as usual
A thread? On "The Curse of Oak Island"? Could this be what zed2283 has been searching for since 2013?Four years later and it finally occurred to me to look for a thread...

Never saw that coming. So the only explanation for this week's episode is that they have the evidence that Oak Island is indeed tied to the Knights Templar and it made sense to rehash the entire history and connection before the big reveal.

Filler episode because of the Olympics. Doesn't make it suck any less.So the only explanation for this week's episode is that they have the evidence that Oak Island is indeed tied to the Knights Templar and it made sense to rehash the entire history and connection before the big reveal.

Right there with you, GB. That's what life is all about. Navigating from one disappointment to the next.IN!!!
Why do I just set myself up for disappointment...
He would be the 8th. Fred Nolan to be the 7th.I wondered the other day as they were talking about the guy's son that passed away... Even though they haven't said it, you know deep down they're wondering if he might be the 7th to die in search of the treasure.
Best comment: "The show should be renamed 'The Curse of Watching Oak Island.'"new curse, who dis? (trailer for The Curse of Civil War Gold The dropping on March 6th)![]()
A huge rusty hinge and a broken plate will be found. THE BIGGEST rusty hinge to date.reading a bit between the lines here... from the sound of it- next week there's going to be a big discovery?
Could that huge rusty hinge be part of a huge treasure chest?????A huge rusty hinge and a broken plate will be found. THE BIGGEST rusty hinge to date.
Hmmmm, I just had deja vu.reading a bit between the lines here... from the sound of it- next week there's going to be a big discovery?
Not to politicize the thread, but I always imagine that Rick is a staunch Democrat. Always cavalier about spending everyone's money. The discovery is that Marty is out of![]()
could it be?.............a metal plate?............. 90 feet underground?.................. tune in next week!

I did not see this coming!Season finale tonight. Double episode. Looks like another season with minimal finds and yet we keep watching.
About 6 less than Pawn Stars. How many seasons has this crap been on?
Season finale tonight. I held a lot of hope for this season but have been disappointed for the most part. Not holding a lot of hope for tonight, sadly.
1st episode was pretty awful. You think Oak makes some stretches..Looks like Marty doesn't have much to do with this Civil War treasure. They're just using him to pull in the Oak Island crowd.
Probably the worst episode of the season, other than the buildup of the "metal plate." The gemstone was pretty cool, but like they said on the show, all they have are a bunch of as of yet unconnected random ####.Season finale tonight. and they found the same amount of treasureI sure liked "Finding Hitler" a helluva a lot better.
Yeah, I'll give Civil War Gold a few more episodes, but that 2nd one was a big old nothing. Time to bring the excavators to the beach. So let me get this straight. The historical records say there's a railroad track there. Pictures 50 years old show there's a railroad track there. But digging it up somehow proves something to Marty about a Confederate treasure?
Not to mention the track was there for 90 years but then mysteriously buried itself 8+ feet down in the last 50.
