Wow. Not outlets near here.
it was online actually through the site. i spoke to a sales associate about it when i was getting them tailored about it. supposedly they will bring it back every now and then to purge stock.
Totally waiting for this. Will check out the showroom to see what fits, and keep an eye out.

Gotcha. They have an online factory site but I think it's only open for short periods of time. Was open for about a day a couple months back. You can sign up to receive updates.

Just grabbed the Calibrate blue gingham for $30 to plus free shipping. Best value you will find on a shirt that nice. Will wear that under a Blazer.

I picked up some of the 1901 line shirts from the sale. Trim cut and look pretty well made. Trick for me is the sleeve length. Tough to find exact 16/36s at that price and quality. Most dress shirts I find that say 36/37 sleeve length are really 37.

I am sure this has been covered in this thread or even in its own thread but difficult to search for..so apologies for the honda.

Where should i get my white t shirts from..just the plain white t (vneck for me but whatever) that goes under the dress or business casual shirt. I am tired of the single use Costcos or Hanes that lose shape/shrink/etc after a wash or 2. Cheap works, but willing to finally spend a little on this as I wear one pretty much every day.

Thanks style guys!

So I'm planning on getting myself something nice with my bonus this year. I'm thinking a nice pair of shoes that I can wear a lot. Something I can wear not only with my brown/tan slacks, but also with jeans when I'm dressed up for the weekends. I'm thinking the Allen Edmonds Dalton in bourbon fits this bill. Any better suggestion, or am I wrong in my estimation on how I can wear these?

Those are nice, but why boots instead of shoes?A Fifth Avenue or Strand would look better with slacks than the boots will IMO and would still work with nice jeans.

Very nice! Boots seem pretty specific kind of like Stu said. Maybe get some for $150 at J&M and then have $250 left to throw at some nice shoes.

Example Example 2

Can't help you there. I'll skimp on t-shirts and oxfords before other things.

The Kirkland crew necks are my favorite white t-shirt. They last forever. The v necks suck, but the white Kirkland crew are money.

Here's a good list of more affordable alternatives. http://dappered.com/2013/07/the-best-looking-mens-dress-shoes-under-200/

Why boots? A couple of reasons. First, I like boots. I find them comfortable, mainly.

The second reason is the :style: reason. Standing, I don't think you're going to be able to tell the difference between the boots and regular shoes. But, when you're sitting down, instead of a glimpse of socks, you're going to get a glimpse of :style:.

I'm usually a blend in with the crowd kind of guy, but this kind of subtle difference is the kind of uniquness I can go with.

Or you can also get a glimpse of :sockstyle: which you change up more often. I get what you're saying though.

Great looking boots btw. I still tend to think they would look better with jeans than slacks, but that's at least partly because I feel that way about all wingtips.

Ugh... dress boots are horrible IMO. I'm with Stu in using that space to flex a bit with some awesome socks.

Then again, I think the boot/gladiator sandal trend with women sucks ### as well. The only boots a man should own are work/hiking boots or cowboy boots (if your style flows that way).

Anyone recommend a solid pair of Chukkas? I've beaten up some Aldo chukkas (brown and gray) for every day casual look...similar to these:

http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/men/shoes/sneakers/98662642-maughan/28

I don't mind paying a bit more ~$100 range if they can last me for a while.

Also, what type of chinos are you guys rocking? I recently outgrew my 30x30 Levi's 511 trousers for every day wear (need 31x30, too many squats) and before I buy another set looking to see what else is out there at a reasonable price.

Like the slim/skinny and tapered leg. So looking into:

- Dockers D1

- UNIQLO Chinos

Tried on some Bullhead Chinos from Pac-Sun and they fit comfy and well, but tough to find a 31x30.

I almost pulled the trigger on these AE Chukkas. Great value but I decided Chukkas just aren't for me.

For Chinos in that price range maybe check out Banana Republic as well.

Not a boot guy either. I get that it's "fashionable" but it looks like you're trying to hard to me.

Bonobos and Alpha Khakis are a couple other options. BR work good for me but I've read good things about Bonobos.

Yeah, that was the idea. I'm just not a big fan.

I think the Cronmok is much more my speed. Hoping those go on sale soon.

Jeans and chinos for casual wear... any where from going to the mall or to the bar at night.

Hanes Premium Slim Fit V-Neck is as high-toned as I've gone. So far they seem much better than the standard. Looks like they might only be available at Target.

I enjoyed the "choose color" swatch.

"For white color shirt, please press on the cracker's face now. To make choose select any other color, press the number 9 button."

I don't really consider what you linked as a "chukka" but here's another very affordable boot with good reviews. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000WU6TN0?vs=1Eta: The beeswax ones actually look pretty cool

To address all posts today, I have AE Daltons and they are both the best looking and least comfortable shoes I own. Perhaps you'd find them different, but I'd suggest at least trying them on. I also have the Clark Desert Boots recommended above. I agree they are the best chukkas for about $100. I think Bonobos has the best chinos. The slim straight legs have a great fit for me, I think the material is good quality and the pockets/lining add a little flair. If you subscribe and wait, you can find some on sale with an extra % off code. The Docker Alphas are decent if you're looking for a thicker pair of pants. My favorite undershirts are Banana Republic's pima tees. Banana Republic has 40% off every week.

The Bonobos would have to be at least half off for me to consider spending that much on chinos, maybe more, but I hear they're great. The Pima tees look great.

Note to anyone considering the desert boot: I tried them on at the store and had to size down an entire size. They run huge. I normally wear a 10.5 and had to go with 9.5. Good feeling boots, though. I'll order a pair off Amazon at some point.

Got some a Dockers D1 alpha khakis and I love the fit. Good construction, though a bit thicker and stiff brand new. Let's see after a wash.

Picked up that exact pair up recently. It's very nice and would recommend. I found they ran pretty big as well. Also, got 3 pairs of bonobos chinos. They are comfortable, stylish and fit pretty well.

Would love a few pairs of Bonobos if I can get them for a deal. I'm actually looking for a few cheaper pair of chinos when I can find some under $30.

I should've posted this earlier today but JCF is having 30% off all online merchandise today, as well as BR having 35% off sale today.

This thread seems to have had the pendulum swing completely to the other side of Major's Mr. Porter shtick.

Well, son is off for interviews soon. Just got him 2 very nice Joseph Abboud slim fit suits. Charcoal and Navy. White, blue and ecru shirts as a foundation to give him flexibility. Has plenty of Italian silk ties from our trip to Florence. To finish his ensemble he's looking to get some great brown shoes and matching belt. I'm a bit older, so any that you younger FBG's would recommend that would a) look great in a business setting b) still enough style for less formal situations c) be comfortable to wear?

Pocket squares are still the item-du-jour. Don't get one of those matching tie & square sets. Get one that works with the outfit but isn't part of an ensemble. Same color hue & tone, but a different texture, weave or pattern will really stand out. Or a totally different color scheme that still makes the outfit pop. You can find them cheap, too... thrift stores usually have tons, sometimes misplaced in the women's scarves section. Even a linen napkin can work.
