the JCP oxfords are very good shirts at an affordable price. They're discontinuing most of their good stuff and going back to the garbage, so there is some pretty decent stuff on clearance right now. $15 Oxfords. Won't find a better deal for a shirt like this. Fits great http://www.jcpenney.com/button-front/jcp%25e2%2584%25a2-oxford-shirt/prod.jump?ppId=pp5002260083&catId=cat1001520004&deptId=dept20000014&dimCombo=null&dimComboVal=null&colorizedImg=DP0416201318141484C.tif&cm_mmc=Affiliates-_-th9ILo5LtqE-_-1-_-10

Some great fitting Mossimo polos for cheap. I have a couple of these as well. They are slim fitting and feel great. http://www.target.com/p/mossimo-black-men-s-mercerized-polo-assorted-colors/-/A-14702342?ref=tgt_adv_XSP10001&AFID=pricegrabber_df&LNM=|14618799&CPNG=Women&ci_src=5784816&ci_sku=14618799

wilked, regarding trouser break I noticed that too. For those truly into :style: the pant length these days should actually be shorter to expose a colorful sock (yes, even when standing straight up and still). Those pants better be tailored, fitted and tapered perfectly and worn by someone with enough suit swag to pull it off though or you'll look like a doofus. For the general public, this diagram is what should be followed.

Only for guys with :style: suit swag. Proceed with caution.

Has to be schtick. Even the wife agreed that a gay pirate might wear those boots but none of those Charlie Brown clothes.
the link changed since then....here's the pair offdee was referring to:

Anyone know where to get "British Tan" shoe polish? I scored a great deal on a couple pairs of Cole Haan dress shoes and got one of them (from advice in this thread) in British Tan. The problem I'm having is that I don't see shoe polish in that color anywhere.

Market intelligence question....

How do you :style: guys manage your Licensed apparel collection?

Is it limited to headwear and softhand tees?

Basic cotton tees with a certain type of logo (center chest primary, basic wordmark, oversized, etc)?

Anything more fanwear driven...like a synthetic tee, syn hood, polo?

I personally don't buy clothes with print other than the occasional hat that has a logo.

Yep, this. Very little things in my wardrobe with any type of words or big logos on it.

this

What if you go to a game? Headwear only?
Nothing wrong with wearing logos to sporting events. As casual as it gets.
Basic logo tee? Better fabric important? Would you wear anything synthetic?
Are you talking about going to a ballgame?
That or going to a game party. Just curious what the consumer here is thinking these days.

If I had to guess, it would be a $40 47 Brand tee, or maybe a basic cotton hoodie.

Hoodie, beanie and jeans fresh out the freezer.

As long as you don't look like a total tool, it's hard to go wrong at a ballgame, outside of wearing a jersey. I don't have any $40 tees so you're over my head there. A decent fitting hoodie or tee with some white sneakers or other casual shoes should be fine. Any less and you will look like a slob. Much more and you will be overdressed and look like a dbag.

do you have a history of overthinking things? ;-)

Banana Republic blazers on sale. They make some great blazers and don't go on sale often. Got one for 108 that's normally 225. Had my eye on it for months.

It's the gray cotton one. 154 or sale and had another code BRWINTER that took off another 30%. You have to go through sale link on the front page

Anyone familiar with Harrison dress shirts? I see some on bluefly, originally 155, down to 28 bucks.

Bluefly is an odd site
Very hit or miss, but I got a sweet Hickey Freeman suit (full brand, not Hickey etc) for them for about $400 (maybe a bit more? don't remember) knowing I could return, and it's awesome.

That said, not sure how good the Harrison Mens shirts are to be honest.

That's a great deal. If I haven't tried on something at the store, I'm always hesitant to buy online, especially some brand I haven't heard of.

Totally. I know my neck and sleeve, and at 28 bucks if they really are $100+ (or $150 even) shirts, I'll take a chance on two.

In he case of my Hickey Freeman, I know they fit me better than just about any other suit, if not better than any other suit so it was simply a matter of size (and obviously leg / sleeve tailoring)

Wow. Not outlets near here.
it was online actually through the site. i spoke to a sales associate about it when i was getting them tailored about it. supposedly they will bring it back every now and then to purge stock.
