The Great 2020 All Time Television Draft: The Simpsons is judged the greatest show of all time (1 Viewer)

WTF, I will go with a little comedy and a little off the board.  Some of the other ideas I had were shows with partners sharing the screen, but here we have an oddball lead:

16.02:  ADRIAN MONK - (tv detective)

alright since partner is off the grid for several days (they’re taking the kids up into the moments in case the Civil War starts tonight), I will concede this one he’s been wanting for several rounds. I could use a hero right now. Walking over to Grand Central Terminal rn and it’s a weird night - every flagship retail store, hotel and restaurant in site is covered in plywood sheets. You’d think a Category 5 was about to hit. Anyway...

16.11

GOAT - Hero

The Lone Ranger
David Letterman's favorite story (54:30 mark)

Yeah that suprised me. I had you in my head as the "movie guy" on FBG.

I think there's some disadvantage to your passion. @wikkidpissah 's incredible passion and firsthand experience re: his picks in sports draft were an absolutely joy to read, but, respectfully, I think it biased some of his selections and he wasn't considering where certain picks may have more or less value.
No. ####in'. Comment.

I’m going to drop out of judging for Sci-Fi as there’s been 3-4 shows I haven’t seen yet now. I probably shouldn’t have volunteered for it.

I’ll still do the two comedy categories 1971-1990 and 1991-2020 as I’ve seen all so far and don’t anticipate many that I haven’t seen at least a few episodes. Those are going to be so tough.

16. Playhouse 90- TV Drama 1950-1970

Outside of The Twilight Zone, arguably the best anthology series ever to appear on television. Featuring original screenplays that were later turned into major films, such as Judgment at Nuremberg and Requiem for a Heavyweight. The scriptwriters were legendary: Paddy Chayefsky, Rod Serling, Abbey Mann.

@Gally

Dude, you are a quality judge.  Like I said - I doubt anybody has seen them all, and don't think anybody is expecting the judges to watch all episodes of each show before judging.

I will take it. Or if you wish to stay, we'll still do it together.

That’s too many shows to have not seen. I have two other categories and maybe I’ll find another at some point.

I had volunteered to judge for 3 categories a while ago but never heard back...

I think that they were Westerns, Villains and 1950-1970 Drama

It's pretty hilarious that last night everyone was pretty good about not gloating but one of the few who did stop by to run people's noses in the dirt was David Dodds.

I'll make up my picks here today.
I posted returns all night and only responded to quotes

didn't feed any trolls

didn't notice DD but not surprised

JB is a good man, I like MT most days

17.02: Hard Knocks-reality

FWIW, these last 2 picks were brought to you courtesy of @Gally. My head has been somewhere else this draft and he's saved us from getting another Conan the Barbarian so far.

12.16 - Community - 91-2020 Comedy

14.16 - Terry Tate: Office Linebacker - Commercial

15.01 - Tobias Fünke (Arrested Development) - Supporting Man 91-2020

16.16 - School House Rock - Childrens Show

17.01 - Rick and Morty - Animated Show

17.10 - Barney Miller - 71-90 Comedy

Criminally underrated show that real cops loved.

Have no idea who to tag with skips. Above my pay grade.

It’s the only cop show to depict what the majority of police work really is — boring paperwork and reacting to nothingburgers.
