The Great 2020 All Time Television Draft: The Simpsons is judged the greatest show of all time (3 Viewers)

I will grab this one quick since this category's short list is taking a hit for me.

23.15:  CAGNEY & LACEY (drama '71 - '90)

One a few acting and best show Emmys, and one of the few I remember watching back in the day (since Dallas got taken recently too).

24.09- The Beverly Hillbillies- Comedy 1950-1970

The Beverly Hillbillies ranked among the top 20 most-watched programs on television for eight of its nine seasons, twice ranking as the number one series of the year, with 16 episodes that remain among the 100 most-watched television episodes in history. It accumulated seven Emmy nominations during its run.

Round 23.11  -  Mini Series  -  Shogun

Off to the dentist.  Whee!
This series is so authentic that the original modern Japanese was translated by Toshiro Mifune into the court Japanese of the 17th century.  It is just gorgeous to look at.

And the whole thing is available on YouTube.  Still looks great.  I'd kill for just one of those kimonos.

This was my favorite to watch with my daughters from 4-10 yrs of age... a great blend of educational and entertainment and still going strong renewed for Season 25...

24.10 - Children's Show - Arthur (PBS TV series)

No. of episodes    246 (480 segments) (list of episodes)

Arthur is a Canadian-American animated educational television series for children ages 4 to 8,[4] created by Cookie Jar Group (formerly known as Cinar) and WGBH for PBS. The show is set in the fictional American city of Elwood City, and revolves around the lives of eight-year-old Arthur Read, an anthropomorphic aardvark,[5] his friends and family, and their daily interactions with each other.

The television series is based on the Arthur Adventure book series, written and illustrated by Marc Brown. WGBH Boston along with Cinar (now Cookie Jar Group) began production of the animated series in 1994, and aired its first episode on October 7, 1996.[6] Since its debut, the show has broadcast 246 half hour episodes.

Arthur often deals with important issues families face such as asthma, dyslexia, cancer, diabetes,[8] and autism spectrum disorder. It also encourages reading and relationships with family and friends by explaining that people have different personalities and interests.[9]

Arthur became one of the highest-rated shows on PBS Kids for several years since its debut, averaging almost 10 million viewers weekly in the U.S. It is aired in a total of 83 countries, including on: PBS in the United States; Radio-Canada, Knowledge Network, TVOntario, and CBC in Canada; several ABC channels in Australia; and BBC One/CBBC in the UK and PBS Kids in Africa.[10]

It is the longest-running children's animated series in the U.S., and the second longest-running animated series in the U.S., behind The Simpsons.[11] In June 2018, it was announced that Arthur was renewed for four additional seasons, up to Season 25, continuing through at least 2020.

The series has been acknowledged with the George Foster Peabody Award and four Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Children's Animated Program....The show has also won a BAFTA and was nominated for 17 Daytime Emmys.

On nights like this when the cold winds blow, the air is awash in the swirling eddies of our dream, come with me and find safe haven in a warm bathtub full of my jazz.

24.15: Ronald Ulysses Swanson-Supporting male, '91-2020
Awesome pick.  This was one that I thought of after my pick that made me almost wish I didn't select what I did.  Didn't think I could sneak him in lead either.

Pick 25.02 - Peaky Blinders (Category - Foreign)

Who doesn't like a show about British Gangsters that wins BAFTA's?  Plus as the 12th selection for this category there is some room for nice value here which is something Team GallStein usually has an issue with.  Hopefully this kicks us off in a nice direction.

@timschochet on the clock

Halfway point, wow! I’m curious if I would be able to draft a free agent team at the end of this. You are all digging deep.

I was very surprised to find out he was never even nominated for an Emmy in either category; just one of many times the powers that be got something wrong.  Ron himself wouldn't care about awards, so I guess it's fitting.

Love the V-Mars pick I had that with this pick as the last two on the board of the remaining Detective faves...

25.07 - Harry Bosch - TV Detective

This is one of my favorite Amazon Shows and I love Titus Welliver's portrayal...

I totally agree.  I loved that show but there were quite a few on this board in the Amazon prime thread that didn't.  I figured he wouldn't be on the radar....
