This is the most important show on television for me as an old man. There are no surprises in it any more cuz i solved em all w me Ma as a kid and re-solved em all w her when i moved up here to take care of her. As a terrible insomniac who resolved that by being a night owl, i needed a way to be able to get to sleep at a reasonable hour once i had to start cleaning & feeding Ma @ 8:30a. For some reason, if i go to bed right at 11:30 w Perry Mason on ME-TV, i am always asleep before the startling confession. it's been almost four years since i've seen the end of a Perry Mason that i've watched from the beginning, God bless it for that.
Awesome. Some of my favorite memories are my mom letting me stay up to watch Perry Mason and* with her. side note: me Ma had two birthdays. she died this year, two days after her official 96th b'day. but for the first 40some years of her life, she celebrated it today, Nov 12. in the late 60s, she sent away for her birth certificate to get a passport to return to Dublin, where she grew up. the certificate had her birthday listed as Aug 14. confused, she called her last remaining Auntie (she was orphaned as a teen) to ask about it. turns out she'd been a love child. me Granda, an 18yo dockworker, knocked up his 16yo sweetie which, in 1924 Ireland, was a jailing offense for young Bob and the cause to be locked away in a convent for a life of indentured Catholic servitude for Flo. so they married quickly, hopped the Sea of Ireland to Liverpool, and stayed til me Ma was born and of an indeterminate enough size for them to slide the supposed DOB to one which aligned with their marriage date. me Ma would have taken full advantage of having two birthdays, so we gave her the choice of one which we'd celebrate. she chose this one and this is the first "birthday" since her passing. Happy Birthday, Ma.
I have to skip now, too. Try to make it up before too long. You can skip me again. Getting a delivery soon.

. . . In the butt, Bob.
Wow.......So I definitely think about this draft too much, and I wonder about what kind of show I could come up with based on the characters I’ve drafted for each era. For example, my 50-70 lineup could produce the following sitcom:
Lucy and the Sergeant
Lucy and her husband Master Sergeant Bilko live on base patrolled by the inept MP Barney Fife. Plot twist: Lucy’s mother Endora is a witch who makes her son-in-law Ernie’s life a living hell.
I also think I could come up with something pretty awesome with my 91-20 comedy trio of Sheldon Cooper, George Constanza, and Karen Walker all driving each other crazy.
Anyone else have any good combinations?
Man, I swear she was drafted already but I guess not. Nice pick.29.15: LAURA PETRIE (lead female, comedy '50-'70)
