The Great 2020 All Time Television Draft: The Simpsons is judged the greatest show of all time (3 Viewers)

Probably. I had season tickets at the forum for 3 years as a kid. But we went to maybe half of them. As an adult I’ve been to maybe 12 games at Staples.
So I would guess a total of about 60-70 in my life.
Ok, so not way more....   from 1967-2010.... probably about 90-110 times.  Early years, 3-5 per season, adult years, 1-2.  Best games ever....  I was at the game Jerry West made the 63-ft shot vs Knicks as a kid.   Can still vividly picture Dave DeBusschere sinking a long one from the baseline corner, and then his head dropping big time when West made the shot.

And then the Horry buzzer beater vs SAC in the playoffs.  Was with my daughter in the top row of Staples.  Laker were down 48-24, late in the second quarter.  They never led. Played like crap for most of it.  And then Vlade, on the Kings at the time, bats out a rebound to the top of the key to try and end the game.  Horry grabs and drains the three.  Place went absolutely nuts. Everyone was hugging everyone.

Watched the second of those on TV. I’ve been to several playoff games but I don’t think I was ever at a famous one.

I think you are on the wrong show or the wrong actor.
No, Sandler was on.
I assume the show is Eastbound & Down, which started in 2009.  Sandler was on SNL from 1990-5 and starred in several movies in the 90's.  How could he have gotten his start in this show?

Round 35.11  -  Leading Man Comedy  1991-2020  -  Will Smith

Smell ya later.

Round 36.06  -  Leading Man Drama 1971-1991  -  Steve McGarrett

36.12  Michael Stivic - 1971-1990 supporting man

Rob Reiner - All in the Family
Forever to be known as "Meathead" to me.
The character's nickname, "Meathead", became closely associated with him, even after he had left the role and went on to build a career as a director. Reiner has stated, "I could win the Nobel Prize and they'd write 'Meathead wins the Nobel Prize
For his performance, Reiner won two Emmy Awards, in addition to three other nominations, and five Golden Globe nominations.

round 36- Bob Costas- Sports personality

Costas has won eight National Sportcaster of the Year awards from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He was inducted into that organization's Hall of Fame in 2012. He has also won four Sportscaster of the Year awards from the American Sportscasters Association and well over twenty Sports Emmy Awards for announcing. He is the only person in television history to have won Emmys for Sports, News (Sandusky interview), and Entertainment (Later).

36.11 - Joan P. Holloway Harris - 1991-2020 supporting woman

Amazing supporting work for a woman who needs a lot of support herself.

:bag:   - I'll see myself out.

@rick6668
What tends to get lost in her proportions is how well she's able to express so much with just her eyes, facial reactions and dramatic timing. A great example is in the last season when McCann finally gobbled them up and Jim Hobart was telling each of them what they were gaining as part of McCann. The way her expression gave just a little when she realized she wasn't in their plans was world-class.

Thank goodness this is a deep category.

Nice. I was sitting on him the last few rounds (it’s a deep category). Obviously waited too long.

37.05 Beavis and Butthead -Animated Show

The series originally ran for seven seasons from March 8, 1993 to November 28, 1997.
During its initial run, Beavis and Butt-Head received widespread critical acclaim, particularly for its satirical, scathing commentary on society.

Round 37 Marv Albert- Sports Play by Play

Honored for his work as a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, he is commonly referred to as "the voice of basketball" If you watched the NBA in the 90s  you know the greatness of Marv.   his most famous call is his simple "Yes!" for a basket, rendered in many variations of volume and length depending on the situation.

My dad has a love hate relationship with him. One time when he was balling, he hit a jumper and asked Marv, who happened to be there for a YES. Marv did not do it

HOWEVER, when my dad was sleeping outside the garden for Knicks championship tickets, they yelled at Marv as he passed by to say hello to everyone from the boys from Carnarsie on the broadcast. Marv came through on that one, saying there is a large contingent from Carnarise camping outside who wish the Knicks good luck tonight

good pick.  I went back and forth between him and Gowdy a few rounds back.

Make-up pick:

36.03: Jane Hathaway, 1950-1970 Supporting Woman

One of the quintessential straight men women in all of television comedy. And who of that era could ever forget that voice?

Jane Hathaway (portrayed by Nancy Kulp in 246 episodes), whom the Clampetts address as Miss Jane, is Drysdale's loyal, highly educated, and efficient secretary. Though she reluctantly carries out his wishes, she is genuinely fond of the family and tries to shield them from her boss's greed. Miss Hathaway frequently has to "rescue" Drysdale from his schemes, receiving little or no thanks for her efforts. The Clampetts consider her family; even Granny, the one deadest-set against living in California, likes her very much. Jane harbors something of a crush on Jethro for most of the series' run. In 1999, TV Guide ranked Jane Hathaway number 38 on its list titled "50 Greatest TV Characters of All Time".

Sometimes, this late in the draft, you're not particularly moved by what's left to pick through -- one pick seems as good as another or another one yet.

But I like this Ms. Hathaway pick just fine -- Kulp was Emmy-nominated for the role, and people who haven't seen the show in 40 years will have clear memories of her character by voice for sure.
