Holy ####.. just got a few bottles in on a recommendation.... this stuff is fantastic. I guess it just won some mustard world championship or something... whatever. It's awesome. Nice horseradish bite, a little sweetness to it.

If you are a mustard fan, do it. Seriously.

Disclaimer: In no way affiliated with this stuff... paid full price for my order..etc etc.

Love the PayPal link right there. I'll report back when it arrives.

My wife HATES mustard, gags when she has to cook with it. Won't kiss me if I ate it that day. I love the stuff.

Definitely let me know what you guys think. I am going thru this stuff like mad, just made a Turkey sandwich with it and slathered it with this stuff. Phenomenal.

Enjoy your cancerous deli meat, guy.
 do what now?

I've been out of the FFA loop the last couple days. What's up?

Just received mine today! It tastes phenomenal - and I'm typically not a mustard guy. Thanks for the recommendation, [icon]!

Glad you like!

Yeah it was very much a shocker on first taste... unlike any other I've tried (in a very good way).

I've gone through 1.5 jars since starting this thread :bag:

icon: Do you ever make your own BBQ sauce? I make a mustard-based sauce and wonder if you know how this fares.
Yes I do make my own sauce.

Yes, I've tried this in a Carolina style honey/mustard/vinegar base sauce already (last weekend). I personally love it. I am concerned about the horseradish bite in a competition setting as it is a very divisive ingredient.

If you luck out and get a table full of judges who like horseradish, you're liable to get all of their "10's" and finish VERY high due to the complexity of flavor and unique approach. Unfortunately it's a gamble, as one judge who doesn't like horseradish will crucify you and knock you out of any chance for a good finish.

That said, from a PERSONAL / HOME use... this is very good for a mustard-base BBQ sauce. I'm going to be experimenting with cutting it with some traditional yellow mustard to take the edge off while still leaving a bit of that horseradish hit that I love.

That said, yes, this IS in consideration while I'm tinkering with mustard-base sauce options for Memphis in May World Championship of BBQ.

Nice, I don't really care about judges besides the friends and family so the horseradish will be fine. Always looking for new variants on my mustard sauces.

I finally checked out your Memphis BBQ thread the other day, seems like an awesome time.

The shipping is double the cost of the product. This #### better be good.
If you play with the order, price breaks work out to your advantage. Yes, if you're buying one $4 glass bottle of mustard, it's likely going to cost more than the bottle to ship it across the country :)

1 Bottle: $5.25 product - $9.95 shipping ($14.90/bottle)

2 Bottles: $10.50 product - $9.95 shipping ($10.08/bottle)

3 Bottles: $15.75 product - $14.95 shipping ($10.23/bottle)

4 Bottles: $21.00 Product - $14.95 shipping ($8.98/bottle)

5 Bottles: 26.25 Product - $14.95 shipping ($8.24/bottle)

etc.

Pretty common and unfortunately an unavoidable consequence of mom & pop mail order companies.

The best mustard I have ever had was from a hot dog stand on Duvall street in key West. The lady said it was her homemade recipe. If you are ever stumbling around late night down there I highly suggest looking for her. She was a little bit East of Fat Tuesday's both nights I was there.

Even if you buy 5, that's a LOT of money for mustard.

And if you've never bought it before...

Love mustard but can't do any kind of mayo. I see words like tangy etc and I get nervous. Any mayo or mayo-like substance in there?

Thanks for the rec, GB!

Aioli is one that comes to mind.

Im tempted, but Ive been burned before by trusting the specialty food recommendations of certain "look at me" FBGs. Once I ordered some seasoning that was mostly salt and not very good. Another time I ordered a huge jug of marinade and ended up throwing 3/4 of it away. We need some sort of rating/accounting system so we can verify which recommendations are actually worthwhile.

I was wondering what happened to my mustard, so I tracked the package. It's been at the post office awaiting pickup since April 9. WTF? Why can't they just deliver it?! This does not cut the mustard. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

No mayo flavor at all that I can tell. stone ground mustard with generous hit of horseradish and a bit of sweet flavor as well.

I don't know what to tell ya. It's not free to move glass jars around the country. If it's too much for ya, then don't order. Me, I'm going to order the half gallon multipack and just store/gift some.

 sorry if I've burned ya before (don't recall recommending either of those things).

Sounds intriguing although yeah, expensive based on the shipping. I'll probably bite and buy 3-4. Even if Im not amazed by it, its not like it will go to waste.

Where do you see the option to buy half gallons and stuff?!

I LOVE mustard... all flavors except the normal plain "yellow mustard"...

I'd jump on this deal in a heartbeat.. except a buddy of mine goes to food auctions all the time and just gave me a case of about 30 different

jars of mustard... deli, brown, sweet, hot etc etc... it's going to take me awhile just to get through those :)

$10 for shipping... One mustard is $15.25

I'm going to order two as I've been looking for some new yellow fever, which is $10 per mustard. Hopefully you know more about mustard than Sweet Orange Julius.

Just got the email that the package was delivered... I took out some of Polish kielbasa this morning, from my gastronomical road trip this past Friday, in anticipation of the mustard arriving today...

In the words of Flounder, "Oh boy...is this great!"
