Only 3 afternoon games kind of sucks.

This is a problem too. They need to space these games out better.

You'd think it wouldn't be that hard.
Seriously. And there is such a huge difference between a week 5 bye and a week 14 bye it’s completely ridiculous.
That would be fine too imo. But again, money speaks.Seriously. And there is such a huge difference between a week 5 bye and a week 14 bye it’s completely ridiculous.
At this point they should do what MLB during all star week, or the NHL does during the Olympics. Just give all the teams a week off before Thanksgiving. Week nine or ten.
It gets worse every year. Stupid rules and practice is against the rules. The result is "exciting" really bad football.
Worst year you've ever seen... So far. This might be the worst year of the NFL I have ever seen.
Awful football.
Best game of the day. One good game.Jets/Bengals was a barn burner!![]()
Agreed. This might be the worst year of the NFL I have ever seen.

There's like three good offensive lines in the whole NFL
Especially if, like me, you work Sunday mornings.Only 3 afternoon games kind of sucks.

And some teams have byes in week 14. Shouldn't be past week 12 IMO.I actually thought it was decent until this week, kind of hurts the product when have six teams on a bye and four of them have winning records, and three of them have legit shots to win their divisions and make some noise in the playoffs.
While I thought 16 games was perfect, 17 is idiotic. Even numbers just work better. The league needs to move to 18 games over 20 weeks. Space the bye weeks out better. I might be in favor of each division having a collective bye week - for example, the NFC south all have a week 9 bye. If there’s two bye weeks there would need to be more than 4 teams off unless your bye weeks extend from week 3-18, but those details can be managed. This might not be favorable with TV but as a concept it’s worth considering imo.
No reason they can’t have the bye weeks from 7-10, 8 teams each week -4 afc and 4 nfc.Only 3 afternoon games kind of sucks.

You would think, look at bye weeks. There is no reason to have the bye weeks spread out this far.

The biggest problem is too many national tv games. The play suffers when it’s constant Sunday, Monday, Thursday nights, European travel, etc. just not enough recovery time.
Doubleheader Monday night games suck. Games in Europe sucks.Only 3 afternoon games kind of sucks.

Also, 6 playoff teams was perfect. Two teams with a bye week. 7 is idiotic too. That odd numbered thing again. Stop it NFL
This and it's the most overlooked aspect of FF for most who play, it's not fun tracking OL for manyAgreed. This might be the worst year of the NFL I have ever seen.

I know. Everything is about more revenue. 16 games with 6 playoff teams was perfect and they screw it up due to greed. While I thought 16 games was perfect, 17 is idiotic. I think they're thinking about their wallets and the 17 is to get to 18. I actually don't just think, we know.

I saw this elsewhere. I don’t really get it?The circle of Parity:
I am glad I am not a big gambler.

It's just that the defensive lines are average to above average. This and it's the most overlooked aspect of FF for most who play, it's not fun tracking OL for manyAgreed. This might be the worst year of the NFL I have ever seen.

The Rams and the Colts have good to great OL play this season especially run blocking
Most OL are basically average to below in the NFL, you add in injuries to 1 or 2 starters along the OL and things are going to be tough for the offense to make plays
Some QBs can make an avg OL look a lot better than it is, some RBs are more patient and allow for their blocks to take place before they start darting thru holes
I know the 3 OL thing is a joke but he's not far off with the problem for most teams, poor OL play up and down
| QB | $8–12M |
| WR | $6–8M |
| RB | $2–3M |
| TE | $4–6M |
| LT/RT (Tackle) | $8–10M |
| Guard | $6–8M |
| Center | $4–6M |
| EDGE/DE | $10–14M |
| Interior DL (DT) | $8–12M |
| Off-ball LB | $5–7M |
| CB | $8–10M |
| S | $5–7M |
| K / P | $1–3M |
This. But it will never happen and the NFL knows it. Thus you will continue to watchStop watching.
I stopped a couple years ago and it’s great. I watch highlights for a few minutes each week and enjoy the time spent on more enjoyable activities. The NFL was just a habit that isn’t missed once you break the habit.This. But it will never happen and the NFL knows it. Thus you will continue to watchStop watching.product. Can only blame yourselves. I might watch a few plays of a game and once I see the crap effort or inability of a coach to adjust, I turn it off. My honey-do list is miles long so I have other options.

NFL viewers are at the point where they completely distrust officials and it's not just compsiracy theorists and not just incompetence. It's becoming more accceptable to believe they dictate outcomes of games in favor of certain teams and that isn't just some far fetched idea. I know many will slam this post and that is perfectly OK with me. But I do think it's a good conversation to have, even if you're uncomfortable with it.Yep, I agree. And the refs are worse than ever too. Just a generally frustrating, lousy experience quite often. The offenses all look alike as well & the defenses are neutered.
I would suggest that the refs only seem (more) lousy due to all the modern technologyYep, I agree. And the refs are worse than ever too. Just a generally frustrating, lousy experience quite often. The offenses all look alike as well & the defenses are neutered.
