The Real Official wildcard game 2 *** Steeler Vs Bengals *** (1 Viewer)

I can understand the Cinci fan frustration tonight.

I also think that Tomlin should have just let it go and not call for the fumble reversal, that really sent this to a new level I haven't seen in a bit.
I hate Pittsburgh, but I disagree with that last part. He should have challenged
That is the dumbest thing I've read in some time. But when you see who it's from you understand.

4 steps. Of course that isnt a foul on a ball carrier. Refs got it right.
No bias here.
He had 2 down when he caught ball.... turned around and then replanted each foot again. Thats not even dabateable.

Maybe you still want to say its a foul... fine. But he had 4 steps before he took the hit.
It's not even that. It was a blatant helmet to the head. And when compared to the bengles penalty its just a joke.

OK, but he sent a surge into the opposition and the home crowd which was somewhat subdued and quiet. I don't think it was smart and now his star QB is in the locker room.

:lmao: at Tomlin shouldn't have rightly accepted the turnover. In a playoff game. Because Bengal fans are morons. :lmao:

I Don't think the sack was dirty
Oh Burfict gave him the business when he was on the ground. He grinded that ball into his chest.Pitt had it coming a bit but Burfict was giving Big Ben the business, he rubbed that ball and came down hard on his chest after he clearly had the sack.

Just calling it as I see it, I root for neither.
The crap on the ground was uncalled for. Didn't think the tackle was.
The ball was out. Looked like Burfict was trying to recover it

I'd say broken collar bone Ben, & never ending pissing & moaning by bungle fans. Learn the rules you idiots
You may be right. Steelers had no need to pass on 3rd and 18 up 15 points late in the third quarter. A draw play and punt would have been fantastic.

:lmao: at Tomlin shouldn't have rightly gotten the turnover. In a playoff game. Simply because Bengal fans are morons. :lmao:
All it did was get his QB in the locker room, send the crowd into a tizzy, unleash a wildman on the other team who should have been ejected at times but wasn't. Tomlin had the game won, now we don't know. I think it was a bad move.

The tackle? Of course not, but I'm talking about once he knew he was gonna get the sack.

Eye for an eye right there. No flags on either hit...the Shazam hit was helmet to helmet...should be a fine. Big sloth getting hurt...meh. It's a violent game. Early exit to bar for him

Exactly. Regardless of what happens tonight, that play likely ends the Steelers season. Haley should be fired on the spot for that.

And the score since that wonderboy move by the coach?

7-0 and a 15 point lead has slimmed down to 8, star QB in the locker room because he pissed off the Cinci defense till they wanted to kill them. It's just a wonderful call.

But given the person trying to call me out, I understand why.

you have to understand why fans of a team would be upset in that situation. even if you think the right call was made, the inconsistency when compared to the penalty cincy got earlier plus the playoff environment, plus a bitter rival is going to lead to just about any fan base reacting similarly.

Nantz keeps saying how no one wants to see this get out of hand.

Yeah, I disagree. would be far more entertaining than what we've seen pretty much all day

Ya I don't think that challenge had the effects this post accredits to it.

Phil Simms:

"You're not allowed to wrap your arms around a QB and let your weight fall on him."

wtf
Maybe he was speaking about sex.
Unquestionably Simms sucks. But he's right about that comment. Personal fouls/roughing the passer have been called when the QB is sacked with the full weight of the player falling on him ever since the 2010 season. That said, I don't think that play was roughing. It was not the "lift and plant" type of hit you usually see that gets the flag.

Would someone please stick Jim Nantz in a girl scout's uniform and let him call women's softball games.

He actually is trying to question the Burfict sack. The sack is not illegal moron, but the business on the ground is. And it wasn't called of course. The refs have lost control.
