The Top 300 Greatest TV Shows of All Time: FBG Consensus: 50 Lists received. 2: Seinfeld 1: Breaking Bad (12 Viewers)

Why was she hated?
To be clear, the character not the actress.

She was a petty, narrow-minded, selfish, bigoted woman who gossiped, lied, stole, and to top it all off she spoiled her kids rotten.

Oh, I just realized you might have meant The Nanny(Fran Dresser?). Her voice was akin to a thousand nails on a thousand blackboards.

Little House
If we did a draft on television characters that are hated, Mrs. Olsen would be my 1.1 pick!
My 1.1 would be J.K. Simmons' character in Oz (I know how to say the character's name but can't spell it)
I liked Oz when it was on and gave it strong consideration but ultimately left it off my list because I didn't remember much of it and wouldn't take the time to rewatch it.

I had What's Happening!! at 40 and True Blood at 49.

What's Happening!! reruns appeared regularly on one of Philly's UHF stations in the late '70s and early '80s, and I watched them frequently. I loved the characters and their chemistry, and as @zamboni will attest, the Doobie Brothers bootlegging episode is an all-time classic.

True Blood went off the rails in its final two seasons, but before that it was an entertaining mix of drama, mystery, fantasy and erotica. It is one of two series on my list that my wife and I watched together to be entertained and for the romantic aspects. Maybe we will see the other one.

I watched a few episodes of Get Smart back in the day but not enough to consider for my list. Have never seen anything else from this group.
I was the other What's Happening fan. Not only were the characters great, but I gave it extra points because I think it was an important show for improving race relations in our country. It's the first show I remember watching as a kid where all the characters were black, and who knew that they were just as funny and cool as white people. I don't know how to do a spoiler alert, but when that cassette recorder fell out of Rerun's jacket and the band stopped playing, that's just an all time great TV moment.

I loved Dee’s sarcasm.

She was great. Unfortunately, the actress (Danielle Spencer) did very little after WH, returned to guest appear on WH Now in the mid-'80s, and then left Hollywood to attend college and become a veterinarian.

Probably a great life path for her. hear a lot of child actor fail stories out there.

Indeed - sounds like she's one of the few that landed well post-childhood stardom. I'm sure that as the countdown goes on, we'll be talking about many of the ones that weren't so lucky.

I (hopefully) will have a lot more to say about Oz when it comes up. It's pretty high up on my list

In this batch, I had Only Murders and The Night Of. Two very different takes on murder cases. While Only Murders has become part of the cultural zeitgeist, I fear The Night Of has been forgotten by many, due to being a limited series on HBO

Had 3 from this list.
Yellowstone :bag: (I love anything mountains though), Burn Notice & TWIB.

LOVED TWIB as a kid. Baseball was such huge part of my life back then and so looked forward to this everyweek. I really thought this was going to be one of my single submission shows, so good to see others enjoyed it as much as I.

Really enjoyed The Night Of and probably should have been on my list.

Only Murders fizzled out on me for some reason.

235Young Sheldon3

Only one of my entries in this batch. Young Sheldon was at #19 for me. Probably a bit high but it was lumped with a bunch of shows that I just kind of listed as they were all kind of in the same tier/type for me and they had to be in an order. I enjoyed all the characters and Georgie and Meemaw were awesome. Just a well put together cast. I liked it better than it's predecessor by just a hair.

Some comments on these:
  • Yellowstone: Thought about it. I really enjoyed it at first but then it just got old and more far fetched. Liked a few of the characters but just too over the top as it went on to be included
  • Only Murders: Liked it but it had something missing for me. I can't quite put a finger on it but there were many episodes that my mind wandered so I would have to either rewind or just let go. I am not sure what it was but something just didn't click and I really wanted to like it more.
  • TWIB: Never crossed my mind but probably would have made the list if it did. I loved this show as a kid and back then it was the only way to see what was going on in MLB across the league.
  • Burn Notice: I really liked the show but for I never finished it. I didn't watch it "live" and started streaming it a few years ago. I am not sure why I stopped watching. Maybe it changed streaming services or something? I will probably go back to it at some point.
  • The rest of them I never really watched (Family Feud/Flintstones not withstanding). Haven't heard of a couple of them.
