He wasn't good his rookie year either- Cleveland had a good O-line and he still only had a 3.6 ypc.I agree. I don't think it's likely, but if I had to spend my money on him or a lot of the other guys who will likely be in his new, lower price range, I'd give him a shot. Look...the guy has looked iike a bum over the last 2 years, but he didn't look that bad as a rookie. At some point, he exhibited all the things that made NFL scouts consider him a top-tier RB. Those things didn't go away completely. There's a strong likelyhood that system, and coaching played some role in this. Change that, and you could get a pretty good RB.Seems like a Rex Ryan move to bring him to Buffalo and get a young Heisman winner for a song. It's not impossible for him to turn it around. I'm holding.
If you can get him for cheap, just the possibility of his upside, no matter how remote, makes him more interesting than a lot of guys out there. At his former 1st round price, not a chance...but we're beyond talking about T-Rich getting that kind of money.
It isn't the system or coaching, it's all on him. He's worth an end-of-roster hold in case the light bulb goes on, but he wouldn't even do well in Dallas right now. He should look to Le'Veon Bell to see what can happen if you actually dedicate yourself instead of blaming everyone else for your failures.
