He's staying home to deal with Syria? With Bolton aboard and Trump desperately needing a deflection, how long until we start bombing Syria?

Good luck trying to get this message through.
The descent of a large portion of the electorate into perpetual disbelief of reality has been pretty amazing to observe. And one way it's really gotten crazy has been this thinking that Fox or Gateway Pundit just throwing crap out there that they think their viewers/readers want to see/read is the exact same thing as WaPo sending teams of skilled reporters to investigate the actions of those in governmental power.

I understand that but the process of removing a president from office takes a huge toll on the country and will only further divide us.   It took years for the country to heal after Watergate.  I wasn't a big fan of Reagan but he did manage to pull the country to together again.
As big as he is we could make so much glue out of him that we could keep pangea together again.

But hey...CNN retracted that story once and fired 3 guys because it was "fake news"...never mind that the story actually was true and they were fired only for policy issues on sourcing and none of the story was actually fake...but hey...fake news!!!!

They should show him today's equity market performance and tell him to keep quiet today until they close, and then to take credit for it.

An award-winning investigative newspaper doesn't work like the right wing media does. There is no equivalency. The nation's ultra conservative wing has looked bad under the light of professional reporting because of its actions, not because of any bias.
So in a poll of 1850 Americans by a source that has repeatedly proven to have a bias against our President you are going to extrapolate 65 million people have actively protested since Trump was elected?

 So silly.

They have not been proven to have any bias agaisnt the President.

Don't lose sight of important @Fahrenthold scoop amid Syria, Cohen and Facebook deluge:

Trump Org lawyers wrote Panama's president, asking him to intervene in fight over POTUS's Trump International Hotel there — and warned of “repercussions” if he didn't

I'm not buying this "1 in 5 have protested in the streets or participated in political rallies since the beginning of 2016" either
Ok, so what facts do you have to dispute the claim?

I just polled about 20 ppl at work and 0 have protested or participated in a political rally since 2016.

Seems dumb right? So does polling 1850 people and saying the national # is 65 million. Imo

Yes...it does seem dumb to think that your "20" people you didn't actually poll would be a statistically valid population to sample from and extrapolate results.

what would be a major story for any other rational administration doesn't even get a mention...

But a poll of 1850 = 65 million Americans is believable?

Stop it
Id have to look at the methodology...but statistically speaking...yes.  Its possible to be a statistically valid poll with 1850 people.

Your asking 20 people from one source of "at work" is very likely to not be close to representative of the population in order for it to be extrapolated to the overall population.

President's Job Approval polls:

Rasmussen  - 1500 people

Gallup - 1500

Reuters - 1519

Economist - 1340

Welp, there goes that talking point.
That talking point was gone the minute he said it.  There seems to be a large lack of understanding about polling and statistical analysis (that much was shown through the discussion of polling prior to the election).

In their defense if you conduct your poll at Whole Foods or a hacky sack tournament you probably get different and more desired results.

Well, if that's what the article said, it would be silly. The trouble is, that's not what it says.

One in five Americans have protested in the streets or participated in political rallies since the beginning of 2016.
Note 1: "since the beginning of 2016" is not "since Trump was elected".
Note 2: "protested in the streets or participated in political rallies" is not "actively protested".

If we are to believe our president, 50 or 60 million people have attended his rallies since the beginning of 2016.  It won't take much to get the rest.

A sample size of 1000 is perfectly acceptable.   This is basic statistics.
Ok

I still don't buy that 65 million Americans have protested in the streets or participated in a political rally since '16
