The value of Chris Henry....The RB (1 Viewer)

For all of Tennessee's early season success, they struggle running the ball. It was becoming evident before the Chris Brown ankle sprain that FatDale was going to get the lion's share of the carries, even if his YPC was mired in the 2.5-3 yard range.

After Week 1, Brwon has done nothing to impress anyway, and now Chris Henry is due to come off the PUP list. Any word on whether he contributes right away? Thoughts on his prospects? If the Titans have to play w/o VY, I'm wondering if any RB there is worth using. Or on the flipside, their value increases in his absence.

I thought he was just not one of the 45 dressing on game day.

After seeing how little they used Brown, how determined they seemed to use Lendale-who IMHO- is nothing more than a Ron Dayne2- Henry will really have to earn it. Not saying he can't-Fisher was really high on the kid, said he was on their board as a first rounder.

I think Kirby is right - he was just inactive - not on the PUP....either way - I picked him up yesterday. Someone made a good point that Travis Henry came out of nowhere last season after being inactive for a large part of the season (motivation ploy - please refrain from adding Tatem Bell here)....and I figure he's got about as good a shot to emerge as anyone behind Chris Brown and Lendale White.....but then again - Chris Brown could get healthy and Henry goes back to being inactive....

That is exactly the case. He wasn't out due to injury, he wasn't being held back to learn the system, and he wasn't in anyone's doghouse. The Titans just don't think he is as good as Chris Brown or LenDale White. Think about that for a minute.

Fisher doesn't start most rookies too early (he didn't want to start VY last year) and Brown/White are adequate. Granted, if Henry were tearing up practice, they would have played him by now, but I won't read too much into that. From what I saw in camp, Henry's biggest weakness was his lack of blocking ability, that won't cut it with Fisher. If he improves his blocking he'll get playing time. If he doesn't, especially if Collins is in, Henry won't.

Inactive a large part of the season? Henry played in all but 2 games last year.Brown was the one inactive most of last season.
