Thought this was bumped for XXXTentacion being gunned down,

US rapper XXXTentacion, who topped the charts as he faced domestic violence charges, has been killed aged 20.

He was reportedly shopping for a motorcycle in south Florida when a gunman opened fire on his vehicle.

A witness told celebrity news website TMZ the rapper, whose album ? debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart in March, appeared "lifeless" after the shooting.

I don’t care what the police say. The tickets are solid gold… it ain’t cut up two by fours I spray painted gold. And it was Jesus who give them to me behind the KFC and said to sell them so I could get me some money to go to outer space. I met an alien named Stevie who said if I got the cash together he’d take me and my wife on his flying saucer to his planet that’s made entirely of crack cocaine. You can smoke all the crack cocaine there you want… totally free. So, try to send an innocent man to jail and see what happens. You should arrest Jesus because he’s the one that gave me the golden tickets and said to sell them. I’m willing to wear a wire and set Jesus up…

as his 5 year old son watches him collapse and die on the floor. He's now traumatized for life.

so absurd and absolutely disgusting. FLA is such an F'd up state it's hard to fathom.

Born and raised in Florida while there are a lot of things that could be improved on. Florida gets a bad rap.  Florida ranked 26th in firearm deaths per 100,000 people .  Ranked 18th in violent crime and 16th in poverty rate.  Not the best but not the worst either.  I will take our gators snakes, humidity,hurricanes ,and transplanted psychos over snow and cold any day.

Florida resident here.  It gets the rap it deserves.  

 
Was going to say that sometimes people who move here especially from up North find the climate hard to adjust to until they have been here several years.

It's not about the climate although I have a tougher time dealing with the summer now than when I first moved down in 2003.  

I'm just not surprised by it's reputation.  A lot of crazy #### happens here that I didn't hear about when I lived in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

I would agree there is things that need to be improved on such as the school system and wages.  Overall I think it has improved as a place to live.  However if you like seasons and dislike humidity probably not the place for some people.  I just think we get a bad rap just as California did a few years ago.  It just seems to me if it was so bad we would not have the influx of people we have had.

Don't get me wrong.  I love Tampa.  It's my speed, the people are nice and I don't mind the heat.  There is some weird #### that goes down here for some reason.   :)

You can't read thru this thread and think FLA is like CA ... or any other state.

I'm sure 99.8% of the citizens there are perfectly normal ... but the other 0.2% is whackadoodle squared.
