I did know this. I just wanted to apologize for piping up. It was more of a snark thing, but it had some truth behind it so I figured I'd drop the snark and explain it from the point of view of someone who had studied communal anarchy in a much different timeframe than Lennon had or that wikkid was in when he heard Lennon.Without going back to see the context, I thought wikkid’s “hadda be said” (or whatever it was) referred to what Lennon said in “Imagine,” not to his own post.
i am the Priam suspect!
Never play mythology references with a killer of Gods and sacred cows. Perfect. I know a lot of people would argue that their best song is Tuesday's Gone. My preference is Coming Home.
I'm going to use the kindest words I have to express my thoughts on this song.Round 7 - Carly SImon - Let the River Run
Can't stand most of her stuff, but this Oscar-winning tune really works for me.
@Juxtatarot is up.
Nope. That's why I took Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. This song is the template for CSN(Y) and all that followed from it, and may well be the best thing Stephen Stills ever wrote.
Good song. I know I’ve tried out The Walkmen before but I never stuck with them. Maybe I’ll have to try again.7.11
The Walkmen - We've Been Had
Most people would go with "The Rat," I prefer the piano in this one rather than the guitar bombast of the that one.
Here's one of those I found stowed in my old IE bookmarks: Good Days Carry OnGood song. I know I’ve tried out The Walkmen before but I never stuck with them. Maybe I’ll have to try again.
I don't know how I had heard this before the movie...but when I saw it and that scene came on, I was like whaaaaaa?! Now I want to rewatch.I will now sell five copies of the 3 E.P.s by The Beta Band.
I'm waiting. I wonder if they are the same words I'd use for her other hits.I'm going to use the kindest words I have to express my thoughts on this song.
7.24 Peter Gabriel Red Rain
Hey, when googling PG before this selection, I noticed there was an update from last month that he was busy working on the new album.

Mr Snipey is back. I would have picked "In Your Eyes".
Love all three. Seeing him do Biko live turned me to that tune.Solsbury Hill would be my choice
2021: I will now text the 3 E.P.s by The Beta Band link on youtube to five of my friends.I will now sell five copies of the 3 E.P.s by The Beta Band.
The ol alma mater in a #MACtion dogfight on ESPN2 this evening. Enjoying the last vestiges of fall weather in a comfortable 63 degree evening on the back deck with a drink. Should probably come up with a draft pick here.
watched my alumnus, Miami kick some booty last night ...
(went my freshman/sophomor years there but graduated from Wright St.)
Looks like Miami will be pretty good in basketball this year.
I've got a strong opinion on a band from New Zealand I was prepared to assert, but I love this song.
- 4.20 - New Zealand - Ella Yelich-O'Connor [Lorde - "Team"]
I think it's been an hour. You can go if you want.Is the clock off? asking for a friend.

I'm taking a band from NZ.Probably not. I have a pet band from NZ that @Binky The Doormat will back me up on. Borderline if I'll draft them because my favorite track is found on live youtubes that don't lend themselves to draft playlists.I'm taking a band from NZ.
But no way in hell it's the same band.

7.14 - Robyn - "Dancing On My Own"
Surprisingly difficult to choose between this and "Call Your Girlfriend". Sweden is a very deep country for my theme and I'm passing up some other favorites, but this didn't fit my theme in the Rolling Stone Top 500 draft so I'll get it in this one.
7.x - The Doobie Brothers - Long Train Runnin'
when choosing artists, I decided to stay out of any pre-80s decades because 1) it's a little before my time, and 2) I know that's where a lot of the others would pull their choices from. but I have to break that rule for this song. the funk is too strong to resist. I apologize for any bruised toes.
