THIS IS THEIR BEST SONG! - Music Draft - Saturday Night's Alright for iFighting (2 Viewers)

Without going back to see the context, I thought wikkid’s “hadda be said” (or whatever it was) referred to what Lennon said in “Imagine,” not to his own post.
I did know this. I just wanted to apologize for piping up. It was more of a snark thing, but it had some truth behind it so I figured I'd drop the snark and explain it from the point of view of someone who had studied communal anarchy in a much different timeframe than Lennon had or that wikkid was in when he heard Lennon.

But I knew he was saying Lennon had to say it.

My reply was a bratty, "Uh uh. No he didn't." So I figured I'd elaborate, then figured I'd apologize for the snark in the original, not the thought in the latter post.

It's done, I think. Never was a big deal, I imagine. Who am I to wikkid, anyway? Who is he to Hecuba, or Hecuba to he? Or something like that...

I'm gonna go with a legendary PNW band, Floater.....if ur from the PNW.  Otherwise you may not have heard of em.  I've prolly seen em 15 times in concert from the late 90's to early 2000's....anyway, if ur interested check out their first 4 albums....Sink, Glyph, Angels in the Flesh Devil's in the Bone, and Burning Sosobra.  Hard to pick just one, like most of us picking bands we really like that have an extensive catalog.....This song is from Glyph......All the Stories but one

The ol alma mater in a #MACtion dogfight on ESPN2 this evening.  Enjoying the last vestiges of fall weather in a comfortable 63 degree evening on the back deck with a drink.  Should probably come up with a draft pick here.

My Miami football story....fall 2005 one of the end zones at Yager is real close to a brick wall.  I was shagging FG kicks in warmups on the outside of the wall, about 10 yards from where Anthony Munoz was giving some sort of classy speech to Miami boosters maybe an hour before kickoff.  One of our kickers bombs one a mile wide left, I'm sprinting for it, ball hits the blacktop and takes a wicked bounce going right for Munoz's back full speed.  I jump, grab it one-handed plucked right out of the air to the sounds of an audible gasp from the Miami boosters.  Munoz stops talking and turns around, sees me about 4 yards behind him....just gives me a giant thumbs-up with a "thanks kid".  I'll never forget it.

In terms of the game, Miami was up 47-0 at the half.  They were still in the glowing aura post-Big Ben and we were arguably the worst team in the nation at the time.  Miami came out for the second half, Josh Betts threw yet another TD, they went up 54-0, and he went and showered and spent the rest of the game in street clothes.  Totally demoralizing.

Looks like Miami will be pretty good in basketball this year.  Most metrics have them 3rd behind UB and Ohio at this point.  Could be their year.

We need some sex in this draft(and a little more diversity).  This selection veers a bit from my superstar theme, but strengthens my more important theme of diversity as it adds late 90s R&B to my list...and of course SEX.  My playlist is purposefully all over the place and is meant to punish those that have one-dimensional musical taste.

Maxwell - Ascension

If you can't have the sex to this song, you might be doing something wrong.

Probably not.  I have a pet band from NZ that @Binky The Doormat will back me up on.  Borderline if I'll draft them because my favorite track is found on live youtubes that don't lend themselves to draft playlists.
I'll just spill some spolight beans on songs only I would draft:

Connan Mockasin:  Dolphin Love (live).  Stumbled across this band one night while youtube searching for the guy I already drafted, Daniel Johnston.  ... and here is Daniel Johnston performing a Beatles song with Conin Mockasin, While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Hope my links work!

7.x - The Doobie Brothers - Long Train Runnin'

when choosing artists, I decided to stay out of any pre-80s decades because 1) it's a little before my time, and 2) I know that's where a lot of the others would pull their choices from. but I have to break that rule for this song. the funk is too strong to resist. I apologize for any bruised toes.

Great pick.  My hot take selection is "What a Fool Believes."
