Holy crap, what a steal!! For some reason I had them as being picked or might have taken Black Magic Woman despite it not really fitting my mixHow are they still on the board? Am I the only one that likes them?
Round 13:
Incident at Neshabur — Santana
I held off this long because I couldn’t decide on the song. Still can’t, really, but with new blood in the draft I figured I should strike now.
Two. You owe rounds 11 & 12 as we speak. We're almost to your round 13 spot, but not yet. I was just pinging those who were coming up.I assume that last post means I owe 3?
Awesome - thanks. I was just verifying on spreadsheet who's been taken.Two. You owe rounds 11 & 12 as we speak. We're almost to your round 13 spot, but not yet. I was just pinging those who were coming up.
I’m around but appreciate your texting Binky. I’m going to be in and out of availability this morning.I'll text Binky since krista is a Left Coaster. I think @Steve Tasker is on skip and I'm around to make my next selection. @KarmaPolice & @simsarge are on autoskip. @squistion can prep himself
Nailed this one. Malibu is up there for me too.
I would have went with 1313.15 Big Star - "September Gurls"
I meant to take this like 30 rounds ago, but kept forgetting. I know it's probably the chalkiest of chalky by them for their biggest fans, but I think it's both their best and it's my favorite. It's jangly goodness at its apex.
The correct answer is Ballad of El Goodo.I would have went with 1313.15 Big Star - "September Gurls"

That's great. You're up.I would have went with 13

I love the album Morning View. I've been close to taking them. My song would've been Warning......nice pick!Round 13 Nice to know you - Incubus
this was such a hard choice as depending on the day, this could have been any number of songs. But today I’m going with nice to know you…
fantastic pick! I love/ed this band, especially the later less pop stuff from Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock... even their later and more experimental incarnation as O.Rang. but even their earlier pop stuff was written so well- with a depth to it that made most of their work timeless- and depending on my mood, when I want more upbeat, those earlier albums and tunes are my go-to. I was just looking at their catalog for this- and their work is so uniformly good, it's hard for me to isolate tunes, more than records.13.18 - Talk Talk - Life Is What You Make It (1986) Live @ Montreux

Mark Hollis was one of the better vocalists of his era.
Runner up, Living In Another World, LP version.
Nice - I think you picked the right tune for them. Seagull would have been a close second for me.Bad Company Shooting Star
Love songs that tell you a story too.
This is a lousy rendition of this song, but the mixed band angle is something of a novelty here.
Warning was my 2nd choice today… followed by DigI love the album Morning View. I've been close to taking them. My song would've been Warning......nice pick!
. so this time I'm getting my chance. Bunch of tunes that work for me, DLZ, Million Miles, Wolf Like Me and especially their last one- Happy Idiot. TBH, I'm back and forth with Idiot and Health.this is the band I thought I was taking last round before my Burma! moment with Dirty Projectors.
13- TV on the Radio- New Health Rock
I keep forgetting about these guys in drafts, and then when somebody invariably takes them I. so this time I'm getting my chance. Bunch of tunes that work for me, DLZ, Million Miles, Wolf Like Me and especially their last one- Happy Idiot. TBH, I'm back and forth with Idiot and Health.
I heard that song as either beginning or end credits music a couple weeks ago and immediately thought of you! Can't remember the movie/show???The correct answer is Ballad of El Goodo.![]()

Great soundtrack!Pip's Invitation said:Which is what I did. The Singles soundtrack was a massive influence on my musical tastes. MLB’s brief output was all killer, no filler.
