So the Thunderbirds are going to be performing a weekend airshow at the reservoir 2 miles from my home. Yesterday they were practicing solo and in groups of two. They roared overhead at less than 500 ft., and sometimes substantially less. They flew hard g turns with their wing tips apparently completely vertical. They did loops and other maneuvers. Today they are out practicing, currently in a formation of 6. Again they are extremely low to the ground. I have never seen one of their airshows, but I now feel I have, if only in practice. It is quite impressive.

Just now another jet flew bye, lacking their markings, apparently from my vantage all white, smaller more of a flying v shape, though still with some discernible fuselage. They were trailing it, in extremely tight formation.

All in all, very impressive, and quite loud.

Blue Angels are Navy, Thunderbirds are Air Force

I have to agree. Im trying to sleep right now. My house backs to the resevoir so i know im not gonna get any rest.
