Tiger Woods (1 Viewer)

I have never been a fan of Tiger because I think he swings too hard (talking golf here). Especially when things start going wrong, he just swings even harder. It seems he has always been rather inconsistent off the tee but I don't think anyone can read a green better.

Wait, how hard someone swings, dictates if you are a fan or not?Really?

You must really hate Bubba.

I'm guessing that he's saying he's not a fan of the way he plays the game. Are you saying that its impossible to separate Wood's play away from the character of the player?

I think the only thing more impressive than Tiger at his prime is his perfect 'let go of the club in disgust like someone else hit it'follow through move. Lots of practice really shows in its grace.
Because Louis and Bubba didn't do the same thing on 17 yesterday?

And apparently his ability to read greens doesn't dictate whether I am a fan or not also.

It has always looked to me that Tiger "over" swings. I'm not saying he shouldn't swing hard. I'm not arguing his results over the years. Yes, Bubba and other golfers swing hard, but it seems more under control.

I was wondering why Eldrick wasn't out there grinding away in other tournaments, trying to get better. Now I see why. He probably won't even make the cut vs other ham and eggers.

I was on vacation last week in Palm beach. So on my way to play a round I thought it'd be fun to take a slight detour on South Beach drive on Jupiter island just to see where Tiger lives. I never even saw a number or anything where his driveway should've been. His place is really secluded! I guess if I had that $$$ I'd be the same way.

How many more tournaments before they stop doing "Tiger Watch" or always including his score in news tickers or notables?

Eventually he has to fade into obscurity playing like this

I said that a while back, and got accused of stirring up trouble and using terrible shtick. We see how that ended up. Fin was way ahead of the curve on this one, yet again.

It's actually become somewhat enjoyable lately. They are able to keep coming up with new excuses for his suckage. That's the funny part. They are not making fun of him but it almost feels like it.Best comment ever was at the Masters on #16 'He's lost his game....and his mind.'

Tiger is one of the last athletes I would ever feel sorry for, but I'm not far from it. It's pretty bad.

It started last tournament he was in but even moreso this week but it seems like a chapter has ended and a new one begun. A recalibration of expectations has occurred among the media and fans.

No one is holding their breath anymore.

Should have been leading by three strokes. His double and two missed birds were terrible. He had some very nice shots today, but he still lacks the consistency he needs to close. I predict a top 15 finish here, but he will continue to fight against his flat stick.

Thru 16:

10/13 FWY

13/16 GIR

29 putts

Made one fm 21' just off the green

8 times inside 19'

Made fm 20" & 4' - 13 putts on the other 6

Good ball striking day but could have scored better.

Golf is more fun to watch when Tiger is in contention.Could tie Jack today.

17 years compared to 25 for Jack. That sums up why I think there is too much overreaction in here.

In case yall aint watchin yet....-4 thru 7. One back from leader. Missed an eagle and birdie by fractions of an inch...his putter is working pretty well today. I didn't count him in it 2 hours ago. I feel like he will win now.

Sunday is better when he is in contention.

tough lie on that bunker shot

bogey 2 back tied with Sabbatini

nobody else within 3

Levin has never won in 152 starts on the Nationwide and PGA tours

These schlubs in front of him will blow it. Just needs to hang around.
Levin keeps blocking his tee shot, but Sabbatini looks good. They have some history:
Sabbatini also made waves following the Wachovia Championship in May 2007 when, after leading the field by one stroke after day three and then giving up five strokes to Tiger Woods to lose the tournament on Sunday, he proclaimed that Woods was "more beatable than ever." In the final round of the 2007 Bridgestone Invitational, he had a fan removed who heckled him with questions about Tiger Woods. Then, in December of the same year, more controversy was stirred when he withdrew from the Target World Challenge, an off-season event hosted by Tiger Woods, becoming the only player in history to withdraw from that event.
