Tiger Woods (2 Viewers)

Pretty excited to see the reaction of the fans and how he responds at #16 this week.
he hit it in the trap at the pro am today. pretty raucus boos followed by a good standing ovation welcoming him back.

tiger with a respectful tip of the hat.

best of the day (other than the hole in one) was bubba taking a half swing with his driver on 16.

i will be on 16 tomorrow and friday as well with clients in the company box. such a great time every year. no caddy races this year though :( .

I saw an article on yahoo that said he might've skulled his sand shot on 16 into the crowd on purpose after they booed him.

I hope he wins just to get all the Tiger homers frothing in this thread again.
I hope he wins because he's the best thing that ever happened to golf
Better than metal woods???
Are they related?
Well-played.

Perimeter-weighted irons > metal woods

Nothing and no one has come close to growing the game the way he has.

Definitely skulled on purpose.

"Tiger bogey bogey and then third tee shot wide right in a gully. He can't hit the Grand Canyon right now."

Is he injured?

look at me

I want him to play well because it makes the tournaments more interesting, but when he hacks I wish the TV coverage would just let him go away and hide like anyone else. It's uncomfortable watching him duff it around.

Low end Ham & Egger at this point. A filler like Joe Nemecheck in Nascar Racing.

Forget winning majors. Forget winning tournaments. The goal for this guy is to make cuts.

It's crazy - it's like he's completely forgotten how to chip. He's always been erratic off the tees and he's at different times had trouble with his iron distance but he could always chip and putt. The putting kind of went away the past couple years but this chipping thing is really perplexing. It's like he has the yips but with chips instead of putts.

The post hackfest interviews are quite enjoyable. "I'm close'. 'I did some good things out there'. 'I'm working my way back'. 'I feel like I'm right in this one'. 'I'm only down 10 strokes, if I can get it all going I could make a charge'.

May want to consult with Marshawn Lynch going forward.

Hole #13

"Well, Tiger stays with that no kick-ins for birdie. He absolutely stiffs one and has no more than 4 inches left for eagle. At least there will be one highlight (as opposed to lowlights) of him today on SportsCenter."

Michael Collins

@ESPNCaddie

As Robert Allenby walked off to the 11th tee spectator yells, "Don't get kidnapped!" No reaction but caddie glares at crowd. Cop shakes head
:lmao:
wow.
Don't follow golf enough to know this reference, so I Googled Allenby.

Haven't read anything in depth yet, but why is Allenby's story being doubted? Might not be the thread to discuss this, but I figure this thread can survive a quick diversion.

EDIT: OK, read that link. Humh. Wonder if he's married? Otherwise, if he's lying, he's trying to hide that he was on a bender? Kinda weird.

not married. I golf with a guy whose sister has been dating him. It's a weird story.

It's not uncomfortable, it's highly rewarding and entertaining.

Well , Tiger was using a 4 iron to chip today. He is a complete mess as he transitions to yet another swing.
