Tiger Woods (2 Viewers)

Not sure but it's epic. It's like he just picked up a golf club for the first time. Tiget lovers can only sit and do this - and this :( and this :jawdrop:

If he was trying out for a PGA card right now, I think he fails to make the cut.

Serious question:

If the events that unfolded on that Thanksgiving night didn't happen, does this meltdown still occur? Or was this meltdown just inevitable due to the deterioration of his body?

I guess what I'm saying is, how much of this is mental as opposed to physical? 50/50?
IMO it's 90 mental and 10 physical.

If that's true, it truly is a shame. You almost want to believe that his body just couldn't handle his swing and torque. You reap what you sow, I guess. It's just crazy to think what could have been with him.

It's about 60% what he did to his body (overtraining and probably chemical enhancement). That's what's caused the breakdowns.

is he only hitting it 240? how about his short game?

it's a combination of mental and all the ####### swing changes he's done.

Don't know what the bolded has to do with my comment. His swing changes have been precipitated by injuries. When you are injured you get rusty. When you change your swing you let the short game go and work on that last.

So to me most of the struggles boil down to overtraining (which is aided by PEDs which allow for recovery faster). No golfer needs to do SEALS style training. They need to NOT do those things. Basic strength training and stretching/pliability with mild cardio. Why you'd subject your joints to boot camp workouts and 10 mile runs when neither have anything to contribute to golf is beyond me.

Considering:

His golf game and life falling apart were concurrent

Golf is generally 90% mental in the first place

There are plenty of old guys with worn out bodies that could beat Tiger right now

The answer it obvious to me: 93.4% mental and 6.6% physical.

There's also his tooth getting knocked out, and his explanation which certainly seems made up. Probably a minor thing, and maybe there's an innocent explanation. Maybe the real explanation is embarrassing. But it's a lie he felt the need to tell the world, for whatever reason. Lies and secrets do not put a man's mind at ease. And most of the time he does come off like he's got broken glass wedged between his buttcheeks. Best thing would be to dump the skier, fire 90% of his staff, and buy a modest bachelor pad somewhere. Go back to humping a dozen skanks every week, smile, relax those shoulders and swing the club like he's known how to do since he was 5.

Winning is a funny thing. If you don't believe you'll win, you generally can't win. And golf is even funnier than most sports -- you have all the time in the world to think. There's not a moment in the game that's just read and react.

IMO Tiger knows he completely ####ed up and that he doesn't deserve to win. [/Freud]

So this is new -- watching golf on a Thursday in February, just to see how bad Tiger Woods can skull#### his tee shots into the next fairway.

Can't wait to get home and watch this trainwreck. Working on another last place finish. He's lucky 2 guys have triple bogeys or he would be one shot out of dead last.

for the first time ever, I now think he's toast.

pretty sad, the guy was unbelievable, him and Jack were the best ever

this is just amazing right here: https://vine.co/v/OFTV3e3t1YP

normally he would open the face and hit this like a bunker shot. He's so ####ed. unreal.
 I've taken extended breaks from golf and my touch around the greens suffers, but this is crazy.
This is like that matchup when you finally get your window to beat Tiger and the game after playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 20XX for hours and hours on end.

But, now in real life.

Listening to him interviewed tonight and he said that the problem was he "couldn't activate his glutes". Repeated it probably 10 times.
