I don't think he plays... He doesn't want to humiliate himself.Notay Begay says he is 50-50 to play the Masters. I think he will probably tee it up. And likely miss the cut. I can't imagine his short game is anywhere near where it would need to be with no tournament rounds under his belt in two months prior to the tourney. Nevermind that his last (2) tourney experiences was nothing short of totally humiliating. Augusta is not where you go to test out your ailing short game.
Still, I think he plays.
So I assume you pretty much gave up listening to all music too?The disconnect here is between:
( a ) people who like to watch athletes dominate, and
( b ) people who like to watch good people** dominate athletically
Otis splits apart the "dominant golfer" from "the guy I wouldn't invite to my BBQ". That's fine for some people, but others can't enjoy a dominant athletic performance because the non-athletic aspects of a guy's life are too public and distasteful.
** doesn't matter if you, as a fan, really know someone's personal life or not ... just matters that you can root for someone with a clean conscience at that point in time.

Non-sequitir. Besides, human beings are inconsistent and hypocritical. Also, people who care about the personal stuff don't need their faves to be perfect people ... just for them not to be flawed in certain specific ways. For instance, drug abuse is generally forgiven. Capital crimes, obviously, are given the opposite treatment. And there's a full spectrum in between. So I assume you pretty much gave up listening to all music too?

He absolutely plays. There was one reason and one reason only for this hiatus: to spend every possible minute getting ready for Augusta.Notay Begay says he is 50-50 to play the Masters. You serious clark? Most of it is just racism. Nobody ever talks about the time Jack told Pat Summerall to "eat a bag of #####" live on the air after finishing second at the '77 Masters.Non-sequitir. I get behind what I posted about before, though -- Tiger not being a people person has a lot to do with why the golf fans he hasn't yet won over never came around. Some fans elevate the athletic achievements, and all else is just noise. For others, Woods could shoot nothing but holes-in-one and win 50 majors, and they would never become fans.
Yeah I'm going to have to say this is BS.Most of it is just racism. id say that's pretty solid proof he's a junkie.
sponsors pay him big money to have his face and name mentioned so I'm guessing even if he has to pull out that he will at least start.I guess I don't see where you are coming from then. Earlier I thought you were talking about it was great because he dominated everyone.Lots of good purposely obtuse schtick in here.I never understood this either. "Turn on the golf! I want to see Tiger win by 8 strokes."Golf is better to watch with better players but there is some weird man love for Tiger in here. Why exactly do I want to watch one guy win a tournament by 6 strokes going away on Sunday?
"Tiger is out. Three guys are going into the last 2 holes tied."
"Meh. Turn it off. Competitiveness is boring."
Such as? Bubba at Augusta, obviously. And then?Instead of being made by one guy they have been made by a handful of players.

He'll play Thurs. Then halfway through Fri after a few double-bogeys he'll start grimmacing after every shot and withdrawThe only way he doesn't play in the Masters is if he can't swing the club.
I agree, although I think he is going to go with the Rodney Dangerfield swinging arm "Owww....my arm!!!!"He'll play Thurs. Two weeks ago there was a threeway playoff won by Jordon Spieth with a 30 foot putt. On the hole prior to that a guy knocked it to within 10 feet or so from what must have been 200 yards only to have the next guy hit one closer.Such as? Bubba at Augusta, obviously. Pretty much every major has some crazy story line going on Sunday with pressure shots by multiple players throughout the day it seems when I'm watching.
I'm not a huge golf guy so honestly don't remember any specific shots from Tiger even though I'm sure he has a ton.
I'll watch the last half on Sunday in a Major. That's about it now. I love playing golf, though.if Tiger plays i watch all rounds he's in. If not will only watch the last half on Sunday.
Very very casual golf fan, assume there are many like that.
I remember all of those but probably the Bob May one the best. ####### awesome. I can't remember anything anymore but somehow I remember watching a golf tournament on TV years ago.Putt to win us open v roccoEntire final 9 holes v bob may in pga championshipTwo weeks ago there was a threeway playoff won by Jordon Spieth with a 30 foot putt. He was a small factor a couple years back but he made that "honest" mistake on where to drop his ball after it went in the waterPeople would honestly rather watch Tiger hack it around for 2 rounds and go home than watch some of the great weekend drama that has unfolded at Augusta over the last decade? Okay...
Tiger hasn't really been in contention on the weekend at Augusta with a chance to win in a decade. And there have been some incredible weekends at the Masters since then.
1. Watching when tiger is in contention any day of the week 2. Watching a great Sunday finish that does not involve tigerPeople would honestly rather watch Tiger hack it around for 2 rounds and go home than watch some of the great weekend drama that has unfolded at Augusta over the last decade? that was on Friday. 5 holes into the saturday round he was basically out of the tournament. He was a small factor a couple years back but he made that "honest" mistake on where to drop his ball after it went in the waterPeople would honestly rather watch Tiger hack it around for 2 rounds and go home than watch some of the great weekend drama that has unfolded at Augusta over the last decade? He was four strokes back of the lead at the end of the day Saturday in 2013. Finished tied for fourth, still four strokes back. If his shot didn't hit the pin and roll into the water he maybe ends up tied for the lead (turns bogey into birdie and negates two stroke penalty).that was on Friday. I'm not a Tiger fan but you're wrong. You assume he'd do well after that because he's been so strong on weekends? not a tiger hater but are you seriously trying to argue that he was a threat to win the tournament after he took that illegal drop?He was four strokes back of the lead at the end of the day Saturday in 2013.
