Tiger Woods (2 Viewers)

Tiger is just being selfish now - taking spots in PGA events that should go to players who have a chance at making a cut.
Yeah, I'm guessing this line of argument starts getting a lot of play pretty soon.Jack = Career GOAT, Tiger = Peak GOAT
I think this is pretty obvious. Tigers best decade was the best ever. Jack will likely end up accomplishing more and was better for a longer period of time.

It's two different arguments when you ask who is the greatest golfer ever. I say Tiger because I view the guys who were the absolute best ever for X number of years (depending on sport and position) as being better than the guys who were just under them but did it longer.

Like JIm Brown over Emmitt Smith.
Agree.I think Jack Nicklaus is the all time greatest golfer in terms of success

Tiger Woods is the all time greatest skill wise.

They're 1 and 1a. This entire argument is like Lebron or Jordan....just stupid.
I don't see those as similar at all. Jack and Tiger are clearly top 2. LeBron is definitely not, at least not yet.
Michael's the greatest competitor, winner, etc... but LeBron's skill set by far exceeds Jordan's and it's not close. Skill-wise, ya, LeBron is head and shoulders the best player ever. Dude damn near averaged a triple double carrying his team to the finals with basically a team of role players. I think haters look past that far too easily.

Jordan was surrounded by role players. He just made them better.

Shooting is a basketball skill, is it not?

Those role players went 55-27 without him in 93-94.

That is one of the best arguments on the side of LeBron being better. LeBron goes to the Cavs and they go from winning 25 games a year to the finals, and the Heat go from making the finals four years in a row to missing the playoffs. Meanwhile, Jordan "retired" to play baseball and the Bulls still won 55 games without him. Imagine how many games and rings an in-his-prime James would win with that kind of supporting cast and coach.

Bobby Jones says "Hi".
I take it you saw him play in person? ;)

And were a crap call in the dying seconds of Game 7 of the Eastern Conf Finals from reaching the finals.
Huh? I think you are talking about Game 5 of the 2nd round, which didn't bother me since the Bulls got away with repeatedly hacking Charles Smith in Game 5 the previous year in the closing seconds, enabling the Bulls to 3-peat.

:lmao: good stuff here.

LeBron had Bosh and Wade. And still lost in the Finals twice. :lmao:

There is a better argument for Duncan > LeBron than LeBron > Jordan. Let's stop being delusional people.

The same Chris Bosh who has never been on a team that won a playoff series without LeBron James?

The same Dwayne Wade who hasn't been on team that won a playoff series without LeBron James since 2006?

This thread won't sniff 2 pages. Trolls must be more subtle. You don't tug on Superman's cape.
Trolls? Get real... This isn't troll worthy.
Then bet me $1,000 that he won't win another major. Surely a guy who is "done" cannot pull off such a feat.A mutually agreed upon party can hold the funds via PayPal. LMK.
Come on guy...step up...I offered 4 more majors
Too long of a wait to get paid off, even if he wins 4 of the next 6.
I'll go 100 he doesn't win one of the next two he enters? :coffee:

Pretty obvious the guys that were wrong, went back and started deleting their posts trying to save face. Most of them also will never show their face in this thread again.

My first thought was "That should do wonders for the U.S. Ryder Cup team next year." Then I realized that that this has no bearing on that, as there is about a 1% chance Tiger is on that team.

This was posted in the PGA thread but really needs to be in here as well. I think I like Tiger now that he is railing Amanda Dufner:

Married to Elin in his prime, now banging Dufner's leftovers?

wow

She's smoking hot. Way hotter than Vonn. This is a good sign.

STRONG BUY
A steaming pile of horse #### is hotter than Vonn.

At best a push and she was wrecked by Dufner already. He'll be lucky to keep his tour card in a couple of years.

well this isn't true at all unless you are talking about actual temperature.
