Jordan had 8 wins in 4 years.... Tiger had 23 wins in 4 years.  

You said Spieth will have a better career than Tiger.  But if we just look at their first 4 years, since that is all we have of Spieth.  Tiger had 15 more wins than Spieth in his first 4 years.  

You mentioned Spieth tied Tiger with having 7 wins before turning 23.  Tiger turned 25 in December, 2000.  By that time, he had won 24 PGA events. Spieth (9 wins) will turn 25 on July 27, 2018.  So we can expect Jordan to win 15 more PGA titles between now and July 27, 2018, yes?  That's one year and five months away.  Good luck, Jordan.

Don't forget that Tiger also only played like 10 events a year instead of 30 (not sure of exact numbers, just trying to make a point).

I saw both in their primes. And I think I would do very well staking Tiger $1000 per match against Jack every day of the week. He simply could do things Jack couldn't.  Tiger could have destroyed every record.  He toyed with fields. But the results from the excessive wimmenz, the body building, the swing/coach changes (especially Foley - disaster) will have him fall short. Maybe he'll do something bigger with his Foundation  No pity party for the dude is needed, that's for sure

Pat Perez has some set of balls on him.  Here's a guy who's missed half of his career on tour due to injuries and he's calling someone else out for an injury.  Maybe you were faking it Perez.  Oh and Pat, you'd be playing for chump change if it weren't for Tiger.  I'd rather you just say thank you and be on your way.

Really can't compare the two since they used such vastly different equipment.

I do agree that prime Tiger was better than prime Jack, but prime Tiger simply didn't last long enough.  Jack crushes him in every category except winning percentage. 

 
Winning percentage is the most telling stat.  Tiger blows everyone out of the water on that metric.  Jack had a longer career but tiger was the most dominant golfer of all time.   Easily.

That will be the rub if he continues to play and not do well; his winning percentage will slowly plummet.  He'd actually be doing his legacy a service by retiring sooner rather than later, rather than holding on and having his legacy have x-number years of mediocrity.  I know some will say he shouldn't give up, but the dude has had three back surgeries and killed his body with crazy power lifting.  The Tiger Woods of the past is gone and he ain't coming back.  I'll bet he is close to accepting that once and for all and calling it quits.

Except Tiger dominated, like no other before him, for 12 years.  Jack's winning percentage isn't in the same universe as Tiger's.  

Good football analogy though.

Not. Marshall Faulk had 2 3 year runs that were better.

Faulk - 6845 yards, 48 touchdowns
..........6765 yards, 59 touchdowns.

Davis - 6110 yards, 53 touchdowns

When you made this bet, what specific criteria did you think would constitute a win? A given age with fewer than a certain number of majors? I am guessing you didn't even contemplate such. You made a stupid bet without even thinking about the conditions that would actually grant you a victory.

I am not deriding you for making a stupid bet, as stuff happens. I would think that you do realize your mistake. But now you're acting like a spoiled, entitled brat expecting your opponent in the bet to acquiesce to some vague notion in your head of how the criteria should have been set.

Obviously Woods is a major underdog to catch Nicklaus. But it isn't impossible. People recover from injury. People come out of retirement. And we don't exactly have a great deal of historical data at our disposal to compute true odds. The number of people in the history of the world that won 14 majors by age 33 and then battled back and knee injuries along with spousal 9-irons to the face for the next several years is one.

I can't speak for Otis, but were I in his shoes I would be very close paying off had you not acted as you have. And that's probably not true anyway, as I am a softie and would probably pay you anyway.

But you don't deserve it. You deserve to be told to pound sand until Tiger dies with fewer than 18 majors.

I'll be honest. I like zoonation. He's not a bad guy. But his complaining in here about a bet he as a grown man decided to make is a bit of a turn off. So I'm kind of with you. I'm not going to try and avoid paying him, and I'm sure eventually I will pay him. Just trying to figure out the right fair and reasonable time to do that. Doesn't seem like now is it.
