timschochet's thread- Mods, please move this thread to the Politics Subforum, thank you (1 Viewer)

Say you take about a minute a post average.  That's fair, right?  Some will be 20 seconds...others like the Bookstore and WW2 posts were likely 15 to 20 minutes per...

100,000 minutes equals around 70 twenty-four hour days of straight typing/posting.

That's not too bad.

 That's crazy.

That's not so true.  An old friend of mine from college is like Tim.  He was that guy that didn't drink or anything else except on rare occasion (maybe three times) freshman year of college, went on the 6 hours awake 2 hours sleep routine, and read through 500 books outside of the curriculum.  Continued reading most everything I can think of to this day and can draw on the knowledge with great specificity.  Absurdly intelligent and can speak intelligently on a great many things.  I love listening to him talk on end about LOTS of things for hours.  Just not all the time and not about any and everything.  He's kind of a bust in life due to how well and deeply he thinks about things but how he also tries to put a wall of words up on absolutely absurd reasoning without batting an eye.  I accept the both and have to to be his friend.

Not saying we all need a Tim in our life but there's a ton of other Tims that we do like out there and those Tims represent how different we in this short time on Earth attempt to communicate with others.

He's our Tim.
sounds tedious

One of my favorites.

But you couldn't be more wrong, dude. I am at every event my daughters are part of. They're both involved in a lot of dance and musical theater. I don't miss a thing. And we do stuff together every chance we get.
I don't doubt it friendo. Thought it was funny anyway because I know you love Harry Chapin.

Top Ten Harry Chapin songs:

1. Mr. Tanner

2. Better Place to Be

3. Taxi

4. Cat's In the Cradle

5. I Wanna Learn A Love Song

6. W. O. L. D.

7. Circle

8. Mail Order Annie

9. Sniper

10. What Made America Famous

You've been here about a third as long as I have right? You're catching up.
Sure but half my posts are in response to you. Heck like I said FBGs owes you something for all the traffic.Hope you're not feeling bad about this, you shouldn't be concerned, not a mark of shame at all, you're a writer so you write.

Not to tell you what to do but you should get to 99,999 and then save your 100k post for election night when Hillary wins.  Seeing you can't go back in time and let her pop your cherry this seems only fair. ;)

Oh, oh...I think the powers that be are making a recount. Either that or some posts have been deleted.

I swear that Timmy was less than 20 away a few hours ago, but now he is back to 38 to go for the big 100K.

But, anyway, it looks like he will cross the finish line tomorrow for sure, kids, barring a posting frenzy in remaining hours today..

You figure 16 waking hours per day, and that is nearly 2 posts every hour he has been awake.

That, my friends, is a dedication unrivaled anywhere in the world.

13 to go!

Would be great schtick if Memphis modified the board code so every time Tim posts it would delete his oldest post so he sits on 99,999 for a while.

I would start a new thread at 99,999 and then just keep posting in the first post and edit same for awhile just to drive everyone crazy.
