I think the magic post should be a response to the 100 greatest fruits list.
1.01 - That time he argued with himself under his alias.tim - we need a new draft - Greatest tim posts in the FFA. We need drafters and judges. The categories I'm thinking are:
Best use of smilie
Most ridiculously stupid pro-Hillary post
Best post immediately prior to being banned/suspended
Best post that received no likes
Top post about movies
Top post about book - although we probably need sub categories here.
We could use about 15 more categories. We need at least 10 drafters and judge. I want to judge top posts about WWII Russia from the vantage point of a small jewish boy on the coast of Egypt after having not eaten in 4 days. (There has be like 40 of them at least, right?)
I was thinking of starting a thread titled "Hillary just got indicted" but I don't want to make this about me. Take your time Tim.![]()
Very subtle.
tim - Woodrow Wilson was too low in my rankings. I'm thinking of changing him to be 6th overall. Right behind Andrew Jackson at 5. Gonna bump down FDR and Truman. It just feels right.

It had to be a countdown list.
I always found it weird that was so funny to you given the unfortunate Roman Polanski comments you had made.timschochet said:So here are 5 reasons I love the FFA:
5. The humor. I am not so great at this myself, though I can surprise from time to time. But there are some posters here who can be incredibly funny to read.
McGarnicle comes to mind- i still remember when MC Gas Money was talking about a book he was going to write and McGarnicle offered up the first chapter, about how Mother's Day was unusually important at the MC household (a reference to MC's previous odd claim of a sexual dalliance between himself and his mother.) I kept laughing about that for days. Even now it brings a smile to my face. So rude and tasteless, yet hilarious.
I have to admit that some of the threads that make me laugh the most are the ones started by Eminence, because I believe he's a real guy, and a knucklehead. So it's very entertaining to read about his latest stupid escapade and then reading the responses rip him apart. It's a guilty pleasure.
You better tell Squissy that so he can update his notebook.timschochet said:I have to admit that some of the threads that make me laugh the most are the ones started by Eminence, because I believe he's a real guy

10X better shtick if he stops at #2.Yankee23Fan said:![]()

Wait.....Continuing the 5 reasons I love the FFA:
4. Difference of opinion.
This is actually specific to political discussions. There are very few discussion forums that I have been able to discover in which there is thoughtful discussion and debate from both left and right. Most forums are primarily left or right, because for some reason I have never been able to fathom, a lot of people prefer to always discuss stuff with those that agree with them all the time.
Those forums that I have found that do offer open debate between left and right, other than this one, are filled primarily with personal insults and dumb, predictable comments. There is no depth of conversation, nothing to be learned: just a bunch of idiots screaming at each other. Yes that can happen here too, at times, but there's enough people in this forum who try to engage in serious back and forth discussion that it makes up for the rest of it.
Nah, he has to do it like David Letterman and #1 needs to be something stupid like,10X better shtick if he stops at #2.
Wait.....
You post on other boards?
With those forums his hands should be full holding other things. He's got 76,000 posts on the beer forum. And 23,500 on The Erotic Review
The guy at the top of the mountain doesn't apologize to the people below with how he got there dude.Continuing the 5 reasons I love the FFA:
3. Courtesy and respect
The first rule of this forum is "be excellent to each other!" and most people abide by this. Yeah there are exceptions; I don't need to name any here. But most people try to be courteous and respectful at all times.
I try to do that myself; I don't always succeed. Because the political debates in particular can be so emotional, this results in give and take that can get ugly at times.
If any of you reading this have ever felt personally insulted by something I've written about you in the past, I apologize. Most of the time it was unjustified. (There's a few times when it WAS justified, but I doubt any of those guys are bothering to read this thread.)
Compiler stats. Hung on way too long some ugly middle seasons.Well done Tim. And congrats buddy - first ballot FFA HOF no matter what the haters say.
I actually skipped a meeting for this :baghead:Surely you can't be serious?!
Let's curb the enthusiasm just a tad, he hasn't won any tournaments yet. Many of us think he juiced his way thru those 100,000.Well done Tim. And congrats buddy - first ballot FFA HOF no matter what the haters say.
I told my secretary to hold my calls.I actually skipped a meeting for this :baghead:
See, this is post padding. You already hit this point in the others. You aren't adding anything to the discussion with the guy shooting for 100,000.Continuing the 5 reasons I love the FFA:
2. Interesting discussion:
So many people here have accused me narcissism that I spend hours each day looking in the mirror and asking myself: is it true??
Just kidding. As I have explained many many times, I am one of those who crave good discussion and debate. And that's why I'm here. There always seems to be a lot of people interested in discussing the same stuff I am: politics, culture, sports, entertainment, music, etc. and so many of the people here are so smart and interesting. I have learned so much in this forum. It continues to be incredibly entertaining and informative.
