TNF on Prime Video - **Jaguars at Saints** (-2.5, 41.5) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

As usual, it comes down to FF for me. I have a problem though - I am facing Carr in the league I have Kamara, and facing Lawrence where I have Engram.

None of the match ups favor the offense tonight so the Sports Books are on to something
Kamara and Etienne will be hard pressed to have a big box score after this one. Both defenses are stingy to FF for the RBs
The best match up would actually be Carr but he's not that prolific so likely will not take advantage of it.

Zay Jones OUT from reports, that usually means Kirk is an auto-start, he's been solid all year.

Take NO -1.

NO undervalued. Should have won last week, but gave game away.

JAX overvalued. Crappy underlying stats from last week. Trevor banged up.

Think either Olave and/or Shaheed can get deep on the JAX secondary.

The New Orleans Saints ruled out starting offensive tackles Ryan Ramczyk (concussion) and James Hurst (ankle) along with backup tackle Landon Young (hip) for Thursday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

That's not good for Kamara tonight.
That's not good for being able to set up and throw down field.

Jacksonville Jaguars CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring) and OT Walker Little (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 18, and have been ruled out for Week 7.

This will be a big problem for Jags; per MOP, if Carr can get some time to throw, Olave should feast.

I agree with kyoun1e that the Saints should take this one at home on a short week with a less than 100% TLaw. But not based on the stats from last week's game, when Minshew's turnovers helped to spot the Jags an early big lead...

Go Jags!

Two stingy defenses so far.
One qb a little gimpy or not playing, the other underperforming,so far.
Short preparation week.
Vegas line is pretty low.
Could be a good day for the kickers.
I think The Saints defense could be a difference maker with or without Trevor playing.
Carr hits a deep one,Saints D scores...

N'Awlins- 27
Duuuuuuuuval- 16

One of the more interesting games this week imo. The jags were seen as THE team on the rise in the AFC, easily walking away with the division and they still might. But they’ve disappointed a bit and played inconsistently.
Likewise, I thought the saints would run away with their south. But losses to Tampa Bay, Green Bay and Houston Bay put that very much in question.
I think either team can rise to compete with anyone but both also are prone to bad play. (Sounds like most of the league this year?)
I’ll take the saints in a low scoring close game.
21-17
ETA: I wasn’t tracking Trevor being injured. Obviously that’s huge.

Started at Saints -3.5. Then dropped to -1. It's back at -2.5 now. Leads me to believe Vegas thinks Lawrence doesn't play.

Granted I only watched the Redzone feed so didn't get to watch the whole game, but this isn't the takeaway I had. Houston never trailed in this game, right? Feel like this is more about the Saints' ineptitude at executing when it mattered most but Houston had this team beat all day long. IMO.

The Saints ain't doing' diddly tonight.

Saints' opening day O-line:
LT Trevor Penning
LG James Hurst (starter Andrus Peat inj)
C Eric McCoy
RG Carlos Ruiz
LT Ryan Ramczyk

Saints' Week Seven O-line vs. Jaguars:
LT Andrus Peat (Trevor Penning healthy, but deep in the doghouse)
LG Max Garcia
C Eric McCoy
RG Carlos Ruiz
LT Cam Erving (practice squad call-up)

I'm such a football junkie. Tonight's matchup intrigues me. It doesn't if Lawrence doesn't play, but if reasonably healthy this could be a good game.

It is a good matchup but I feel like these Thursday games are played at 3/4 speed and are clunky due to short weeks and injuries. Hope this one bucks the trend but I'm hammering the Under in anticipation of a snoozer.

I do think Joey Lawrence plays. Whoa!

I agree with you.

Taking away Thursday games from me would be like taking candy from a child. He'll protest and put up a fuss, but in the end it's good for him. Just don't look at him and eat it and wink while you're doing it.

This is VERY GOOD for Kamara...expect 15 dumpoff passes...PPR monster

No way Saints can go deep tonight.

Agree on not going deep, but Kamara will be thrown to often tonight.

Shaheed still probably about to make a bjg play though

They could do so much with Shaheed on slants and other short area stuff. Wasted opportunities.
I agree. I know that certain players see a big drop in effectiveness as their usage goes up but if I am the Saints, I would want to test that out because at this point it's at model breaking levels to which Shaheed makes game breaking plays given how few chances he gets.

This is a very bizarre statement to hear given where things were a year ago but I hope Jamo can become a Shaheed type player.

had the same thought

"heyyy, I'd take that"
Right but also Shaheed is a difference maker. He doesn't make many plays but when he does, it tilts the odds on the outcome. I would love that for Jamo. He certainly did it last week.

yeah that was the kill shot; after that TB couldn't do anything and Detroit milked 7 minutes off the clock ending in a FG

that bomb to Jamo was a dagger to the heart, they lost their will after that play

I'll say NO wins 26-21.

I think this game has more big plays than expected. I think both Olave and Ridley could get going this week.

Have a lot of players going tonight in various leagues. How about a shoot out and some overtime?

Jags 34
Saints 28

Man, ETN went right before me in my rookie draft. He went four -- I had five. I got the consolation prize of Javonte. Oof.
I was able to trade back from 2 to 3. I wanted ETN or Chase, I had those pegged as the 2 elite players. When Najee went 1, I got a pretty juicy offer to move back 1 spot so I took it. It looked liked an absolute disater for awhile but not it seems like a pretty reasonable move.
