TO leaves camp (1 Viewer)

Too many posts, but in case no one has reported this yet, this is what Gary Cobb said happeded.Owens was excused from today's practice by Andy Reid for treatment on his groin. At some point Owens came on the field during practice, asked one of the ball boys to toss him the ball and started running routes on the sideline. Andy Reid then approached him about it and said if he's ready to go, he should be practicing with the team or something along those lines. Terrell Owens then "blew up" and cleared his locker and left camp.Howard Eskin is saying the Eagles have suspended Owens for one week. Wether the suspension came before Owens left wasn't clarified.

As an Eagles fan I have to say that I'd rather lose every game this year than win the Super Bowl with that piece of crap on our team.
That may be the stupidest statement I ever read.

Good info - this sounds legit. So he's gone for a week. He'll be back....if he wants to feed his family.

What are the possible trades that Philly could make????Ive heard Oakland alot, what about other teams in need of a WR:DallasKCSeattleSDthe 49ers :P Philly is a SB caliber team, they wont blow this season just to piss off Owens. They will play it smart, trade him, and win a Super Bowl. Otherwise, they are alreay weak on WR with injuries and Westbrook is crying for more money. How many problems could they possibly deal with and still win it all....theyll play it smart and dump TO.

How about the Vikings. They've got the dough (cap space) and enough trade bait to make it happen?

I've had 2 offers in the last 5 minutes in two different dynasty leagues.1) He offered TO for Holt - LOL2) He ofered TO for Chad JohnsonNow if I can get him cheap, hell yes, but I thought those offers were laughable in dynasty leagues.

They might not want to get another primadonna on board...

As another Eagles fan... I'll take the Super Bowl with a side of crap.

What team would take a headcase like that AND give him the money he wants? Keep in mind that Oakland is set at WR.

The question isn't who needs a reciever (Oakland certainly does not), it is "Which Franchise is willing to take the talented jerk-off"? On that list you got there, the only team I could see even trying to put up with Owens is Oakland.EDIT: looks like some others above agreed while I was writting.

He will never see a KC uniform.......can you see Vermeil putting up with him...................NOPE

If Moss was too big of a distraction, Owens would make the whole team curl up in the fetal position and suck their thumbs.

Is it stupid that some people value character? How could you even cheer for the Eagles if TO was on the team?

People, people, people.......

Calm down.

He's suspended for a week, he'll be back and he'll be the starting #1 WR for the Eagles this season. This is simply TO saying something he shouldn't have and it happened to offend the wrong person. Unless you hear the Eagles say T.O. has been C.U.T. there is really nothing to get overly worried about.

If he's there, he'll play. If he's not there, he'll pay.

He should use this as a catapult to want to play even better so he can get the contract he wants. He won't not play. He already played that card and we all learned that he was bluffing. He may not be happy, but he's not going to "not play".

This is a big story, because it's TO, but when the crowd clears and the media bystanders go home, this is just a highly publicized argument that got the best of him. He'll be back after the suspension.

Don't know if its been mentioned yet but Rosenhaus is gonna be on Quite Frankly in a couple of hours.
Rosenhaus AND Steven A. Smith? Neither one will hear a word the other says.
Will anyone be able to watch this without going deaf or insane?

Oh Jeez as I'm typing, T.O. is friggin' playing football in his front yard with his friend.ShEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEwizzz.

I'm sure that this shows that TO is a team player and an upstanding guy, we just haven't heard anyone with true insight into the situation speak yet.

WHERE IS JAA?

 :hey:

Funny, I was thinking exactly that after reading your post.

I agree this is way overblown and Owens the Talking Mule will still start for PHI.......but anybody else wish like anything that he gets traded someplace like MIA where Feely tosses ball after ball off-target while PHI wins the SB?

I just went over to TO's house in Moorestown. He signed my jersey. He was out front throwing the ball around with a couple kids. He was really nice actually. shook my hand, said what's up, said hi to my sister, signed my jersey.BTW, He's jacked like a huge african savage man.

Am I the only one who would pay the money he is making to have the talent and play football like he does? The guy is grade A ### hole material. It is clear cut. This off field stuff does have an effect and detriment to the team. It disrupts chemistry and development and the distain spreads like a cancer. If I were the Eagles I would say #### you and cut him. Let him sit out there no team is going to give him the money he wants... they either dont have the cap room or he has burnt too many bridges (see Philly, SF, Bal, Dal). Plus he isn't a spring chicken. Let him go be an ### hole and play basketball, he is just playing football for the money anyway.

Here's what I'm hearing

Reid said he didn't need somebody who consistently ran their mouth and that he was starting to become a big problem. Then TO started yelling back at him and had to be restrained.
Funny how yelling back is the response when being accused of running your mouth too much.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think if he comes in for camp is fine these last couple weeks, he will start the opener, but if he is a disruption or doesn't give his all during regular season games that he will sat

I'm sure that this shows that TO is a team player and an upstanding guy, we just haven't heard anyone with true insight into the situation speak yet.

Maybe... :o JAA is TO!

ESPN Radio is gonna have some tape of him in a few minutes from his home just now (as reported above he is hanging around in the front yard apparently).

They actually said that there are HELICOPTERS circling his home right now trying to get some photo opps. :pics:

Edit to add: Yeah, Baseball is America's pastime.

Drinking beer and watching football is America's pastime, as far as I'm concerned.
