TO leaves camp (1 Viewer)

ESPN Radio is gonna have some tape of him in a few minutes from his home just now (as reported above he is hanging around in the front yard apparently).

They actually said that there are HELICOPTERS circling his home right now trying to get some photo opps. :pics:

Edit to add: Yeah, Baseball is America's pastime.
There are like 4 helicopters in the air flying around. Tons of TV reporters. When I was there, there were only a few fans. But more and more were arriving when we were leaving. Supposedly on the local news now TO brought out his workout bench and was doing situps for everyone outside. Now he's back in his house, but before he went in he told everyone to stick around cause he's ordering pizza for everyone out front.

:lmao: I know to alot of you guys football is like a religion but to me its just entertainment..... and there are very few people in the sports as entertaining as TO..... The interview that ABC Channel 6 had of him in his front yard lifting weights was priceless.....

Buying pizza for the fans. Finally he gets it. To court the team managment you court the fans and have them do your bargaining for you. Too little to late, but he finally gets it. For a moment anyhow.

I am at work, so I am missing the news coverage of TO working out in front of his house. If anyone has any links to any video clips of this, please post them.

As an Eagles fan I have to say that I'd rather lose every game this year than win the Super Bowl with that piece of crap on our team.
That may be the stupidest statement I ever read.
Is it stupid that some people value character? How could you even cheer for the Eagles if TO was on the team?
I'll easily cheer for the Eagles if TO is there because this just in he is Great Player!!! and entertaining as hell. I care about the Eagles winning games and he makes them a much better team. All of these charcter loving people are kidding themselves if they think they are better without him.The 90's Cowboy Super Bowl teams were filled with players much worse character then TO but that didn't bother Cowboy fans did it. All TO is doing is being selfish and greedy, but players have done worse. Did those Cowboy fans want them to go 0-16? How can anyone be a fan of a team and say something so idiotic

Why does this remind me of OJ's bronco chase?

If I'm Marvin Lewis I am on the phone with Philly right now. How would Peter Warrick or Kelley Washington look in Iggies green? Better than the crap they have to throw out there right now
you have to mean Chad J right? TO for Kelly W or Warrick? STOP CHAD or nothing..so its nothning...lol
Pats have a WR or two to burn:Branch - untouchable at this point

Givens - due for a big pay day as he will be a UFA - could move him

Troy Brown - going to finish his career in NE

David Terrell - NE impressed with him so far

PK Sam - also impressed with him, but I'm sure willing to part with for right offer

Bethel Johnson - definitely available

Tim Dwight - said to be on the fence...get something for him while you can

Brandon Childress - they've been hyping him in the papers

Surely a deal can be had.
You cannot be serious.Cap implications aside, the Pats would love to acquire TO.

Branch is untouchable? I'm sorry, but if the Rams called today and said "Torry Holt for Branch.", you're telling us the Pats would say "Sorry, but Branch is untouchable."? (Or Chad Johnson or TO or a half dozen - at least - other WRs.)

BTW, I'm a Pats homer.
Maybe you want to acquire TO, but it is less than likely the Patriots do. He is not there type of player....too many headaches for the production. Look what the Pats get out of their current WRs....why do they need TO? When the Eagles acquired TO, it was pretty much a forgone conclusion that they needed a WR since the rest were not getting it done in the NFC Championship game. They took the risk, acquired TO, and all the antics that go along with it. You don't see Cory Dillon acting up for the Pats do you???? LOL

What an absolute tool. He's in his driveway, first shown doing curls with 50lb (maybe) dumbells, all the while answering EVERY question thrown at him with "no comment". Then he proceeds to lie down, in the driveway, and starts doing crunches, again all the while surrounded by reporters, mics and cameras and answering every question with "no comment". He must have said it 25 times. What a wack job. He needs some sort of meds, or some psychiatric help.

he's funny and crazy. They surely broke the mold after him. I've never seen a character like him before.

I think TO is in BIG trouble. He's going to come out of this looking awful, I don't think the Eagles will want him back, and I doubt other teams will pay him what he wants. I'd try to trade him immediately in every league.

Nah he'll be fine, we'll be seeing him every Sunday on NFL Primetime.

Frankly I'd trade for him right now, his price is dropping by the second, but it might rebound just as fast. You might be able to get him for real cheap.

Thanks for the links and updates. I was able to find a video clip on nbc10.com.This stuff is hilarious...because it's not happening to my team.

Lee Steinberg and Drew Rosenhaus is on Quite Frankly and they're going head to head, and Steinberg is making Drew look silly.

Yeah, this is a tough situation for us Birds faithful! However, if any fans can deal, WE CAN cuz we are used to tricky navigation. We can win with him and we can lose with him. Conversely, we can win without him and we can lose without him. I'm not fearful to make adjustments if he's M.I.A. nor fearful to play with Lewis and Brown on the first unit. I think the distraction factor and the undeniable sewer drag that the entire organization must endure is far more dangerous. I made a comment in the sister thread (about Reid) coming out of this crap soiled too, and got misinterpreted and pompously blasted. No way the team needs the dog and poney show. It gets to the point, where it's a viable option to try and negotiate with him. IMHO, I think they blew the opportunity way back when. Reid could have easily played double agent (and pumped him up for the bravado of returning for the bowl) and tossed him 1/3rd of what he wants now...all the while acting the part it wasn't in the Eagles front office best interest but "I'm behind yah!"It's painfully obvious all the guy wants is attention and respect. Reid could have sat back (munching a cheese steak) and laughing in his 64 ounce soda after pulling off a slick one in the realm of T.O.'s very own fantasy world.Edited to say 1/3rd more on top of existing contract of what he wants to add now.

Per Eskin at WIP he's suspended for a week.
Sounds like the same from Sal Pal on NFL live. An argument began over T.O. skipping autograph sessions and he was suspended/asked to leave by Reid.
Nice work by Gary Cobb over at WIP :sarcasm: Not even close
Comcast is now saying that this may indeed be the case.
Owens skipped another autograph signing today and other players apparently went to Reid and management to express their disappointment and concern that he was getting preferential treatment. TO also was out on a seperate field, by himself, running routes and catching passes from a trainer, when the coaching staff thought he was hurt and wouldn't be participating in any drills today. So there's a few reasons why a team meeting was called during training camp, which Sal Pal said is unusual in itself. Maybe we'll see TO cry again soon. That always makes for good tv.

Be "injured" but be able to run full-speed whenever you want. Get suspended for a week. That is how you hold out without holding out.

 If you're able to kick back and take it all in, and not take it too seriously, TO's an act rivaled by few.Just waiting for the rumor threads to get kicking up.

Imagine: Duckett for TO

T.O = Shameful waste of talent :11:
As a keeper, TO can waste his talent on my roster any time. My only hope is that he play...somewhere.

This is it. This is exactly what's happening, but so few are actually talking about.TO is holding out. Plain and simple. All the other stuff is just cover.

lol at the people on this board. "TO is done in Philly now blah, blah, blah."More like Philly is done with no TO. Opening day he'll catch a couple of TD passes and the Mob will celebrate him once again. People just can't get enough of this guy...helicopters? Because of a one week suspension? Tell me who else in the NFL generates coverage like that?If everyone in Philly is so down on TO, tell me why he is all the talk, all the time? The fans know they need him, but are struggling to come to grips with it.

OJ was found not guilty.
Just because his lawyers play the race card, and everyone on the jury is a minority, who specifically said after the trial they would never convict O.J., so they could set an example of the LA Police Dept. (see Rodney King case).
